Well, if I give it a 10 now and see a better movie in a few years from now, then that kind of ruins my ranking and the fun of it. My aunt has a looong list of movies that she has ranked in her own personal little book. Though that scale only goes up to 5, no movie has ever got above 3. I thought that that kind of ranking is quite stupid at first, but Im getting it now.

Anyways OT:

Gran Torino: 6/10

Great movie. I've always liked Clint Eastwood and seen him as a badass actor, but his performance in this one realy moved him up a notch in my book. Touching story and interesting turns here and there.

Damn good movie! Only reason I don't give it a 10/10 is because it was very long (160 minutes!), but it was all worth it!

Gran Torino 9/10 - Exelent movie, my favorite so far this year. Eastwood is my all time biggest idol, and this movie rocks !

Angels & Demons 3/10 - Entertaining, but imo not near as good as Davinci code.

Star Trek - 5/10

Meh. I'm no trekkie nerd, I don't mind them using time travel and resetting the franchise, but seriously? The movie wasn't that good. I don't get all the positive reviews out there.

A menacing tentacled evil ship filled with evil walkways over a bottomless pit and bald evil guys who get about five minutes of screen time. A cringeworthy first few minutes with a stupid brat driving a stupid car stupidly saying he's Kirk. Enterprise is a refinery... I could go on and on.

It was just poor. Lovely cgi, some nice action, fun at times, but I wasn't impressed. What was the movie about? It felt like a long episode of an average tv series. Random bad guys do random bad things that you couldn't care less about, good guys win.

I mean, First Contact or Star Wars to use a different franchise had pretty much the same premise but pulled it off so much better. Not good enough for what I thought would be a major, important, flagship of a flick for Star Trek.

Nice film of course seen on the big screen. It's obvious that they will try to make another but it seems as if the story is just being dragged on with no credible end in sight. Albeit there are very good action scenes and I would still recommend you all to go out and watch this one!
