IP MAN 10/10  what a movie!

RocknRolla 8/10 good movie!

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Had the makings of something special like "City of God" but it developed into a romantic melodrama.
It had a predictable ending but it was still absorbing for the first half.  6.5/10

RocknRolla {2008)
A fun gangster movie even if it seemed familiar.  I really dig a good "Guy Ritchie" gangster movie with likable characters and an interwoven story line.  Some of the script writing was clever too, like for the Johnny Quid character.

It's not as sharp as Snatch and Lock Stock but it was still quite good.  7.7/10

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People (2008)
Simon Pegg is a hilarious loser journalist who leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes.
Jeff Bridges and Simon Pegg are so funny together.
Kirsten Dunst is a talentless biatch who is terrible in everything she has done.

A typical romantic comedy where one character has unrequited feelings for someone but the problem for me was that there was no chemistry between Dunst and Pegg.  Imho, Dunst was a casting mistake.
6.5/10

RocknRolla - 8/10
Don't hurt me, Arch. I'm only little.

I am now officially a fan of Guy Ritchie's work.

I watched Max Payne earlier tonight, heard it got alot of critics so i didnt want to pay to watch it at the cinema. I saw it was released on torrentbytes and gave it a shot. Good movie no doubt.

I can't remember if the game was about drugs like the movie was, but otherwise nice copy from the game.

8/10!

Forgot to add one...

Snatch - 9/10

Watched it just before RocknRolla.

A Sound of Thunder - 6/10 - The tragedy is that there's almost certainly a good film in there somewhere, the first 20 mins promise more than the rest of the film delivers. Really shoddy writing and dodgy direction ruined it plus the production problems didn't help obviously.

Slumdog Millionaire - 9/10 - Magnificent Movie. Didn't expect Dev Patel to be the weak link in the movie as  I thought it was his big breakthrough and everyone else outshone the poor guy. Oh and I absolutely love Freida Pinto.

May Payne - 3/10

For about thirty minutes I was like hey, this is an average movie, no world beater but not a piece of crap either. The only downside was Marky Mark who was acceptable at best when he remained silent but as soon as he opened his mouth he just couldn't pull off the tough guy routine. However then it all went downhill, completely. A small number of visuals/scenes were pretty good and had a comics-like quality to them (Max underwater, Mona and Max in the alley). Didn't help too much though as the rest was just awful. Strangely enough I didn't mind the valkyrie thingies. I did mind everything else.

Slumdog Millionaire - 8.5/10 - definitely a feel good film.  the child actors were great
Gattaca - 9/10 - will go down as a favorite.  can't believe it took me this long to see it
Gran Torino - 7/10 - would have enjoyed it more if they hired more experienced actors (besides clint)
Milk - 7.5/10 - loved the atmosphere of the film, & great acting
Seven Pounds - 6.5/10 - story had potential, but i don't think it was written well

I happen to think that Kirsten Dunst is a talented actor in accordance to other actors, and this isn't just my subjective opinion, but it's also shared by alot of other people and especially by diffrent kind of reviewers. So before hatheting anyone just becaus you got no eye for talent, think twice and look the person up in several films and movies, and read her reviews.

I thought she was cast just perfectly, problem with the movie is that they tried to much to be funny, because they have Simon Pegg and ''the dude''. I had the whole time the idea that the director thought, hey we got those two, now the movie is for certain hilarious ... instead of making a ''real'' comedy

(found Kirsten Dunst at the end of the movie more attractive then Fox )

I happen to think people are entitled to their own opinions and those do not have to be in any way the same as those of other people.

My favourite movie of all time. Shame it's so overlooked. Nice to see someone else thinks it's great too.

Acting quality is subjective so just because you can find some people that support your opinion doesn't somehow make it anymore valid than his. It really isn't difficult to find tons of people that don't like her and think she sucks as an actress.

Saying that, I do agree that she's pretty talented but she hasn't been great in everything she's done.

wow they are pretty much the same as i judged. Gattaca is class.

Igor - 6.5/10 - kinda good for a kiddy film.  I dont know why but i always find Cusack endearing, even as a voice!

Good Will Hunting - 8.8/10 - Class

I think so too, i think so very much acctually, but i don't think that you should hatchet people without getting your story straight, even thou you'r opinion is that kirsten dunst is a bad actor, i think you should go with constructiv critisism and gently lay out why she was bad, not saying that she sucks and she should never act again.

I think people should just say what they want and if it's a straightforward thought like Kirsten Dunst sucks, then it's just as fine as explaining and elaborating if that's what the person in question wants to.

Also, I just finished watching RocknRolla! 7/10

A good mix of fun and the mafia criminal stuff. Too bad we have seen this done before with very minor changes though. Didn't make it any less fun though. I think it could have used just a bit more humour though. One Two was brilliant.

You're confusing her being a bit cute to being a good actor.  I have seen quite a few of her movies and have never been impressed.  Why don't you name one?

One of the last movies i saw her in was "Marie Antoinette".  She had a chance to show some talent  in a historical drama but she ruined that movie by not trying to do an accent (because she can't with her limited ability) and sounding like she just got off the bus in southern California.
The glazed drunken look on her face throughout the movie just made things worse.  Please don't mention that squeaky voice of hers.
