I am not familiar with linux or any other dedicated server setup so it would be cool if you provide some infos if its possible to get a seedbox with about 50GB disk space and unlimited bandwith (don't need 100mbit).

I don't really need a big server and all that stuff, just something to keep the ratio . A webinterface would be cool too.

Trying out feralhosting wouldn't hurt.. I've mostly heard positive things about them, and you don't really need any linux experience.
I'm not sure if there's actually any speed slots left considering that OVH's new setup fee could affect them
The cheapest one on fastsh.it would be a decent choice for you, but apparently sold out atm

Ok, but where are the cons of such a product? Is it secure? I mean, its such a low price. Call me paranoid but first thing I thought was that it could be a scam and they sell or give away my data.

Is it possible for them to get my username and password from any tracker or any other details?

It's shared, but it shouldn't be a problem to reach 2 MB/s and peak even more.
In theory they can get your passkey, but if they did everyone would know - feralhosting is quite popular

I have never met this guy before but he told me to get a feralhosting account and he wasn't very serious so I told him that I will ask the real geeks (you of course )

You should note that Feral hosting now has download limits which are quite low. I'm guessing this is just OVH enforcing their gear bette.r but its something to keep in mind.

I have a seedbox at dentoo.info, so far it's okay, but I think the server I'm on right now is screwed up, I can't get over 300KB/s over FTP nor above 500KB/s seeding anything, even with 3 torrents running.  Dent is going to move me to another box today I think.

I've got the minimum package, 9 EUR a month, you get a discount with "mmatorrents" as the coupon code.  It's 100Mbps both ways with unlimited b/w within reason I suppose.  Unfortunately you only get 20GB of space with the minimum package but that's good enough for me for now.

OVH's setup fee is expensive, but not so bad if you keep it for a year. The cheapest server works out at £129.20 for 3 months, including the setup fee. If you extend the lease, I presume you then only pay £23.50/month as they don't need to set anything up again?

I just now got access to a seedbox, and i just wanted to ask if there is anything in particular that i have to do to make sure i don't break any rules or be banned for.  Right now(prior to seedbox), i use Utorrent with my home connection for torrenting.  Do i need to close this before i start using my seedbox(ruTorrent), or does it matter?  I don't want it to look like i have 2 accounts or that i'm trying to cheat in any kind of way, so i just want to know what i have to do to prevent any kind of trouble.  Thanks.

No problem at all.

You can have 3 I.P's on the account at once so you can effectively seed from both your home and your box at the same time :yes:

Hi,

i currently have 2 seedboxes.
From one of them i can download anything and upload whatever i want.

But from the other i can't reach the tracker i guess. I tried to login on the website from that seedbox but whenever i try to go to the TB homepage i got the message : "Unauthorized IP Address. [Error 1] you are banned!".

Does anyone have some kind of suggestion?

If needed i can give the seedbox ip address.

You should PM a staff group with this problem.

It's likely that the I.P of one of the boxes is on our Ban list :yes:
