A friend of mine has a Xbox 360 Slim with a Philips/Liteon Driver

It's possible to flash the drive to play copied games?

I have an old flashed Xbox 360 elite. Not sure but I think it's iXtreme 1.51. I don't think it's relevant to my question anyway.

Ohwell, I want to play burned games, but I don't want to get banned. If I'm gonna play online I buy the game. Is there any risk of getting banned while playing burned games single player? Any risk if the game has multiplayer capabilities but I don't use them?

So far I've mostly played burned games on a profile without Xbox live, but my GF has lately played a burned Mini Ninjas (which doesn't have multiplayer) on my profile with Xbox live.

Just wanna know, what are the risks?

If your machine is flashed then  there is always a chance of a ban whenever you connect online. Doesn't matter if you play burned or original, online or offline.

If you connect....... There is a risk.

And especially with 1.51 :yes:

You need Litetouch+ or something now ;-)

I have no idea. Not even what kind of reader I have... was a long time ago I was even interested in flashing or playing Xbox alone, and another guy flashed it for me. I don't feel any need to update the firmware since I barely play it, and if I'm gonna download games I'll go with wave 2 or 3 games anyway since those are the only ones that work with my firmware.

There is a 1.1 LT+ flash for hitachi drives out there. And Accatyyc, Hitachi should work with the new games with just 1.51, since ap25 shoudlent work on hitachi drives. ppl updating should just be "safe" when going online :>.

abgx now autopatches so no need to mess round with ppf

expect to see this more often from now on, as all games fifa 08 onwards have the ability to check for ap2.5

luckily if your running the latest firmware you'll recieve a black screen preventing you from seeing a disc unreadable message, you have 3 minutes from that point to power down before the relevant info is uploaded to M$ flagging your console for a ban

Soo.. I once had a flashed 360 which died, for real. This was almost 2 years ago I think and I havn't been up to date with the flashing scene since. Now I'm thinking about buying myself a new 360, and want it flashed.
So I have a two questions, which I probobly could google for, but it would save me alot of reading if a kind soul here would be nice enough to answer them.

So here we go.
1. As far as I've understood, the slim isn't flashable, correct?
2.  If I buy the old model, is there any post-manufacturing date which makes it RROD safe?

slim is in progress of being fashed just waiting on the tools and firmware, as for rrod safe anything made in 2009 onwards will be a jasper and is deemed rrod safe

No 360 is completly safe from RROD, just a smaller chance, i remember my frist 360 i think i had 10-12 rrod's before i decided to get a new one

So about the ap2.5 games or newer games just load it on abgx 1.0.5 and it will do it auto?

Can someone give me some pointers to look for when buying this console?
I can repair it using the xclamp fix and such. I don't want to go online, just some offline games that I downloaded.

What questions do I need to ask/where do I need to look for?

i would say dont buy it, since when it starts RROD xclamp fixes doesnt hold for long....i ended up having rrod every 2 weeks after each fix, sent it to microsoft, still rrod. so my suggestion, buy a new one :p

Damn. The nice thing was that it was €35,-. Not a lot, since I can repair it myself.
Not buying an xbox then, since new it's €180,- and I can't flash it.

lt plus isn't really needed for hitachi as the older revisions (47-59) don't support it

but wont do any harm in upgrading
