I've done some more reading on xbox scene with mixed facts/theory
they say that it wasn't included on JF pdf about the calibration so they assume it wasn't
that important as we thought. Some already done flashing without the calibration data.
And they are fine.
So doesn't seem all that important.

yes mate you can, its with the LT download, just make sure you use the latest Jungleflasher.
simply get tray half open.
select dummy from ixtreme - this will copy any laser calibration data also.
target fw as Liteon OFW for your drive.
spoof - will also spoof the calibration data from ur previous flash - if the thing reads fine its good.
save FW.
lite on erase, write, outro.

update live

half open tray, load your saved FW as source, LT as target, spoof, liteon erase, write, outro.
done

Think I will give it another week or 2 before doing mine again just to get a bit more feedback from more people using it.

Thing is my box never received the last Update and has only ever been online once and that was for about an hour and about 3 months before all the bannings.

I am hopeful it should be ok but I guess only flashing will let me know :giggle:

One thing I am wondering though is they say you need to be cautious when installing console updates but from what I understand you have no choice in the Updates so what is there to be cautious about ? :unsure:

Maybe official microsoft dashboard updates can somehow read the firmware during updates.
So they will probably suggest whenever there is a new update that you don't update through IX LT
but to flash back to OFW update and then back to IX LT.
Will see how it turns out when another dashboard update comes out.
Also waiting for a week or two.

Yep you can run through ABGX with your current games to check for splitvid etc.

The 360 scene should release every game from a 0800 drive now with a full "high verbosity" details.
Is it alright to patch a game with SSV2 when the game was originally ripped with SSV1?

Hi.. I have a modded xbox360, I have the older mod, and can't play burnt Wave4 and up without patching them.. My question is now: I still buy orginal games (the onces i like) but can I buy games from Wave 4 and up, and play them in my modded box.? I mean I can't play ripped games with wave 4 and but does it infect the orginal games! I would believe no, but wan't to be sure before I buy...

Does anyone know about this... I know the profile and save games get corrupted if u take the hd from banned machine to normal machine, but does it do the same thing the other way?

Meaning if I take a hd from non-banned machine (that has updates for a certain game + saves for a certain game), will I be able to use the hd normally? (not planning on putting it back to the normal machine)

Also, I remember hearing that the new 360 models have a internal memory of some sort, is this true?
If so, is it possible to use a hd, and save save games + profile on it?

(I just bought an Elite and I would much rather keep the new black 120gb hd instead of putting my old 120gb on it).

Keep trying to read the forums over at Xboxscene regarding the new LT FW but seems to be so many different opinions it's hard to know what to think about it.

Doesn't seem to be anything concrete on what to do. . . :-(

Not sure what to do with my 1.6 Liteon now that is not banned so far.

Seems like an ass to try and flash back to stock (Which I don't have) so I guess I got to rely on the dummy thing ?

Also what about the calibration stuff ?

hey guys! im kinda qurious on this...
ive had an xbox Elite since 2008 and always played live untill now, when i decided that i wanted to flash my xbox.. but is it safe to do it( because of all those new updates that my xbox has installed =S )
if it is.. can you show me instructions how to flash it and what i need to do it step by step (noob friendly)

reverting back to stock is just to connect to live and update, this is what c4eva recommended to do although there have been people who flashed directly to LT and then updated without a ban yet. but that doesnt mean they arent flagged for a ban.

and with the LT downloads you can get the liteon's original firmware.. so you can flash a generic stock fw if you want

http://www.ixtreme.net/ has tutorials and a forum and the needed firmware, though you may need some extra hardware(via card and/or connectivity kit and spear).

This may be a pretty obvious question but askin it anyways
ive got an old xbox premium version with 20gb hdd, and i feel it is just to little, now i know there are bigger hdds to purchase (120gb or something) but what happens if i insert the new hdd in the xbox, all my achievements and profiles wont still be there right? cause im pretty sure they are saved on the original hdd. any way of copying it to the new one?

I've done it myself and it works.
Any HDD listed hack it to think its a microsoft certified one and done
for the fraction of the 250gb or atleast half the price of a 120gb
