Well I'm all up for dps really. I've played a holy/ret paladin just before ulduar came and I'm pretty bored with healing and all that. The thing is that I don't really fancy the rogue mechanics. High crits and dmg, I couldn't care less. I want something that I have to use my brain for and not just smashing some random buttons, therefore I considering a frost mage.

though I've heard that pvp sucks pretty much these days and it's all about burst. Which is fucking boring.

If you want to think whilst doing PVE dps roll a Shadowpriest or a Feral druid.

Everyone who plays a rouge says it's fun, but consider that if you consider going rouge, mage, warlock or hunter, you'll only do one thing, and that's DPS.. I'd quit wow if I was doing the same thing over and over, and I'm glad that my class can do two things. I think in the end you'll be happy to try out something new instead of sticking to the same rotation for every raid without anything changing.

Therefore I'd say priest. Most fun!

Keep in mind that he is talking about PvP

and its rogue not rouge!!!!!!!!!111!!!!11!1

@ chilli rogue requires a lot of coordination to reach 2.2k+ in arena, i play warrior, rogue and warlock myself. and i can tell you its anything but mashing buttons. Although i could say the same about a mage

I wont do any pve, more then some random naxx/voa runs for some ninjagearing I reckon. Was looking through some forum posts and videos and realised that it might be better to level a rogue since they seem to be in a better state.

was about to paste my armory here but it seems down as usuall. A plus is that it's rather oldschool, have epic flying, mining and engi at almost 375 Gear is err... not that great, some blue and rest merciless and vengefull!

what ya lads think?

EDIT thanks for the input Rohit. Yeah kinda realised that now after watching some vids of rogues playing around in arena and in the world. Though been ages since I played one, what's the learning curve like now? Best leveling specc and pvp specc later on? I played mutilate back in the days and absolutly loved that. gotta love daggers, but what about now?

Well, if you don't want to tap loads of random buttons then I'd say rogue is out of the picture. Only thing you'll ever do is sap, wait for the energy, kidney shot, blablabla. Same on everyone.

If you want a challenge I'd recommend a resto druid or even a shammy. I've also noticed alot of "adapt to the situation" situations while playing my DK. It's all the same thing when playing against another DK, but if you're playing against a shadow priest for example, there's alot of coordination and dependings on what he decides to do. Whatever you might use to counter that, you'll waste a rune / runic power = change your rotation & alot of thinking of what to do next. I think it's great fun

Druids have alot to do about their shapeshifting and can be very stressing at times.

On my rogue, I specced mutilate. Go with this: CHEAP SHOT -> Mutilate -> Mutilate -> Kidney Shot/Eviscerate -> Mutilate -> etc etc

lol'd no, i guess you never played a rogue at least 1800+? :shifty:

im sorry i dont want to prove my arguments because its too obvious who is wrong.

thats like saying "i wouldnt take a mage all you ever do is polymorph -> deep freeze -> ice bolt spam. melee in range? blink!" "i wouldnt take a warrior all you ever do is charge -> hamstring -> wait for rage -> mortal strike" i guess you dont pvp much

@ chill

leveling spec is combat

PvE spec for low geared is hfb assassination spec, poinsons will do the damage
PvE spec for at least full t7 gear is combat daggers

PvP spec is always mutilate/prep hybrid check

ah thanks. Seems good. Well decided to go rogue. Is there any classes we struggle with? I read up on the new res change and that seems to b e a major pain in the arse. I've heard of dk's and ret pallys destroying rogues in a cupple of gcd's. How is this now?

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet … amp;n=Jowa <- my char btw

#1159531 by RohitDonor (Power User) at 2009-07-15 17:31:00 (4 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Basically all healers, healers are currently overpowered and cant be solo'd

Any ret/prot paladin that has the slightest clue
Any DK that knows his class will beat you
and warriors if they outgear you or out rng you

in other words healers and plate

it didnt used to be like htis pre wlk but plate is overruling atm

rogues are still highly represented in arenas though and a blast to play in bg's

after i leveled my rogue to 80, and started doing bg's for a couple of weeks, i went a bg with my warrior for a change and it really sucked hard i couldnt believe i enjoyed this in the past xP

@Rohit, I couldn't agree more. Plate is the new warlock

Basicly, whenever I meet a rogue/whatever on my shaman in 2v2s I just pray that I can time my totems right to cover the first stunlock or I'm screwed. Sure, I *can* outlast it most of the time, but if I make one itty bitty mistake, I'm a gonner, even at resilience cap >.> Warriors basicly just have to sit on my back for 30 seconds and I'm oom (gl getting away from a warrior in any dalaran arena)

Priests are easy to get by, tho, just have a dispeller/purger(that'd be me ) behind you and you're good.

Anyway, I know how pugs asking about achivments in order to join. I've heard of a achivment faker addon on mmowned, but i've yet to find it. Does anyone know where I can find this?

Also certain addons for rouges? Does stunwatch still work and is it as important as back in the days?

Soo.. Tryed to setup a sub just now when this came up: It seems that you are not allowed to use this payment method. Please contact our Account and Billing team via www.wow-europe.com/en/support/.

All methods are blocked out other then gamecards.. What the fuck is that about?

Dunno about that. Might be because of the extended maintenance but it doesn't seem likely.

You can buy a gamecard from the online Blizzard Store and use that. It's actually a little cheaper for some reason.

ive only played horde, i have joanas which is imo the best leveling guide out there from 1-70 and jame's from 70-76(only goes till 76) and the last 4 without a guide is easy

#1160948 by Chill (Power User) at 2009-07-19 12:17:41 (4 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

so I played some with a combat secc and are deadbored with it. it's effective but boring as hell. So I respecced to mutilate last night and damn now I remember why I rolled a rogue in the first place. I love daggers

Don't really see a point in having a leveling guide... but alright...

everything you do while leveling will be pointless when you ding 80, which is why it is best to get to 80 as fast as possible, which can be done the fastest by using a proper leveling guide. such as Joanas or Jame's

For an ingame leveling guide i always use the addon TourGuide, if i remember correctly its written by Tekkub. Alliance guides are slightly better than horde but there both there, tells you all the usual stuff about which quests to pick up and where and where the item(s) are/drop etc, also automatically sets all your waypoints.

can honestly say that I'm tired already of the rogue thing. Considering a dk or a mage. Any ideas or should i stick with the rogue till' better gear comes along?
