Nope, bought it in a small games store (Germany) ... apparently Blizzard didn't let the stores sign some kind of non sale agreement like they did with BC.

took me about 10-15 minutes to fully install, granted my dvd-burner wouldn't read the disc so first i had to make an image of it on my girlfriends computer, that might make up the difference in time

just ordered my copy from play.com it got dispatched around 5am today
Heard from some other people that they even got their copy as early as monday from play.com
Can anyone confirm that?
Would be awesome if it would arrive later today which I doubt.
Should've ordered it last week.

If you enjoyed pre wotlk wow you'll enjoy wotlk. No doubt about it. Oh, and what i've heard the quests are a bit more versatile than just kill 30 mobs and pick up 10 random body parts of the same mobs after that.

Well, Blizzard learned back in TBC that quests should reward actually something USABLE, rather than just random shit. So WotLK quest rewards are decent... they are however NOT as big of an improvement as TBC starting gear was.

It does look a hell of a lot better tho.

Quests, with a few exceptions, feel rather bland. Death Knight starting quests are probably ones of the most awesome so far. As for the areas, they're not bad, but I preferred the slightly "impossible" landscapes of TBC.

BTW, DKs don't get any professions but First Aid... which is extremely annoying, as you need to go run around like a headless chicken in lowbie lands searching for whatever you want to level up.

On the whole, I feel I haven't played enough to give an objective opinion on WotLK as a whole. Anyway, I'm leveling my rogue... and I'm having some fun, so that's good.

It's very slow tho. REALLY slow. With a bit of luck I MIGHT hit 72 today.

It sure is MUCH better than TBC was, and i like that they have picked up places like "new heartglen", when you meet anub'rekan in Nerub 5 man instance in level 73 and stuff like that.
And the reincarnation of naxx, enough said. Go buy it

p.s. The quests with TANKS and huge steam-powered shit are awsome too! And the questing sure is more than "kill 30 of those aaaaaaand maybe 40 of those".
