can't say that arena > tanking, WoW is a PvE intended game, and PvE is better put. If you are fed up or you suck in raids, well, thats a different story.

Fed up and bored with how simple and repetitive raiding is.. yea... bad at raiding, is that even possible to be bad at raiding?

I say arena > pve first of all because its my personal opinion. i also think it requires allot more skill, knowledge, and situational awareness, because things are rarely going to be the same, and you need to be prepared for so many different things within seconds. All that said from at least 2k+ arena brackets.

I don't know any gladiators that cannot raid with ease, while i know plenty of people in BT etc that fail in arena.

Guild im in just started on the 25 man content so PvE is getting a bit better now and to answer S4L question yes it is possible to be bad at raiding there is alot more involved in 25 man and 40 man raids than there is when your running the normal 5 man instances. As im a healer i have a lot more to concentrate on than if your dps cause after all if you dps all you have to do is hack away and make sure you dont top the threat tables and pull aggro away from the tank. But depending if im tank healing or raid healing i have to make sure the people im healing are always topped off and then theres the mana conservation to think about and also making sure i dont top the threat tables. tbh its a big effort raiding but i enjoy it a lot

25 mans 40 mans are easy, theres 1 strat that people need to know and each boss does basically the same thing every fight. Learn where to be when he does his "special moves" and you win. don't get me wrong i do raid ocationally with some top raid guilds, i kno the strats i just think raiding is extremely boring.

having 5/5 vengeful glad gear and weap on one of the mot competitive BG's US side, selling personal ratings by carrying nubs for 1k gold, getting in bg's with essentially god mode on, and destroying in arena... it doesn't get better than that imo.

basically owning other players is fun while killing the computer is kinda boring to me.

and you finally got some ok gearz, lol the +heal makes baby jesus cry though

warlock went glad on blackrock season 1 and 2. bg9 isn't hard.

sorry if im bitter, i just miss real mmo pvp like uo/daoc/ac/etc had where you go out and look for trouble, stir some shit up and you risk dropping loot/money and so does everyone else. that gets the adrenaline going. wow arena is just SC/TF2 in mmo form, except in those games you don't have to afk 90k honor and run a bunch of gay pve instances every time a new 'season' starts.

you say, that pve is easier then pvp and (more) repetitive. well, if you know bosses like Archimonde, last boss in Hyjal Summit, if one person out of twenty-five fucks up a little bit, its a raid wipe and you are welcome to try him again. pve is repetitive, well, yeah, but anyway you can do fights differently (and having fun, really

). by the way, and PvP is not? how many times in 2v2 have you faced Warrior + Druid (a mirror probly 4 u)? you notice the match-up instantly and adapt to it, use your well work-out-ed tactics and pew pew. PvP isnt repetitive? =P and it's the storyline and better put. BT raiders suck in pvp? well, pvp players suck in pve

and, damn it's satisfying to down a new boss for guild =P well, i have ended 25man raiding with my guild, turned into casual raider... i raided for like 4 months ~3-4 days a week (slacker with low raid-attendance), and it really became worse and worse of people slacking, the raids going slow, dps going slow ect. we downed 3/9BT and 3/5MH in the first week of getting into those tier 6 instances though...

P. S. i got my ass to 1813 3v3 rating, damn i want ma' vengeful mace this week! ^^ and BG's ain't enjoyable at all because my pvp battlegroup is a crap =P

first off i only use the 2's bracket to sell personal ratings cuz its to easy and so rock/paper/scissor, get glad in 3's and 5's on cyclone and call me back about raiding being harder.

u mention the fuck ups in raiding, yea the fact is there but..... its gotta be a stupid fuck up cuz u kno what to do. get here before he does this, stop moving while he does this, kill the adds during this etc etc etc etc etc.

it might not be easy mode, but its still easier and alot more repetitive.

ps. u cant even talk unless u play other glad teams in arena, its a whole new game.

p.s.s.s what kinda of tournaments does blizz have? arena, not who can raid shit faster or better.....

p.s.s.s.s. i can guarantee all the glads i know have and do just fine in endgame raids... while the a fair amount of raiders fail at 1700 in arena. the depth of arena at and above 2k is much greater then raiding especially top 10 front pagers. if u disagree get even 2k and holla back

One another note; I think I know what I (personally) dislike about WoW... there's no feeling of power. Oh sure, the armors getting better, and the weapons look more and more cool, but you always end up fighting one or two enemies at a time. 3 is getting hard, 4 is stretching it, and chances are you won't survive with heavy use of cooldowns.

Now take City of Heroes / Villains as a counter-example. You constantly fight whole groups of baddies, taking them on like the super-powered being that you are. Sure, there's the occasional tough boss which you will more likely tackle alone, but the feeling of 'awesome' remains.

Also, there's absolutely no speed in this game. And I'm talking about running to a battle and from a battle... You can't run from a battle other than slowly in one direction, and hope for the best (some classes can do a bit more at this point, but still). You can't run very fest TO a battle... even on mounts and whatnot.

Now, again, compare that to CoH/V, where you can zoom from one place to the other... someone calls you for help on the other side of the game world? No problem, you'll be there in no time, and you'll be back to the spot where you left from in a jiffy as well.

Finally, and this is probably the worst WoW sin of all... if a friend plays a bit more than you do (or BEGINS playing earlier) and ends up a higher level, there's nothing you can do to catch up. The EXP bonus is just that, a bonus. It's nice, but it doesn't help really. CoH/V's system isn't perfect, true, but at least it gives an option for players of various levels to play together, with benefits to both... and in fact if this is done, this gives the lower level player a chance to catch up WITHOUT impeding the speed at which the higher level player gains experience.
