Mouse-wheel zoom out.

Thanks for your help Bowlch that sounds good. I now have a new problem, she uses a laptop with a touch pad mouse built into the keyboard. So how do you zoom in and out?

Thanks

You can go in to the key bindings section under the main menu and change the zoom in and out bindings to something else.

She can also press "Home", that should bring her camera view back to normal. But for gods sake, buy your girl a mouse!

Argh.. scrolling these kind of topics awakes the hc-wow-player inside me. Surely a great game, but I could've never thought what I was getting myself into 18 months ago when I bought the game.
Took a peek at those tier5 stuff, looked kinda cool, except the paladin's was horrible and mage's was too ordinary-looking. TBC is coming soon and I'm kinda waiting for it, although my plans aren't to buy it (dunno how's my mind month or two later, hopefully I stay "dry" ).
It's been roughly a month since I quit wow (or should i say raiding and farming), and I still almost daily feel like I have to renew my subscription and play again. Few times I was entering my credit card number on the account managament until I woke up. I've had active subscription for 16months. During that time I got ~100days of played time. The last 6 months of my playing was sick stuff. If I was at home, I played, usually 4-6hrs weekdays, up to 8hours on weekends, "thanks" for getting excited on raiding. I started on very casual raiding guild for about a year ago, not too much later from that, joined a more "hc" raiding guild, and the last months of my playing, it was 5-6 raiding days a week. Surely it felt sometimes nice to be in one of the server's top guilds (not for only the epix, but knowing we were pretty good at what we did), but what I've achieved after all? Nothing but wasted time (good time with guild of course, but in the end there is nothing). Ofc first kills after endless wiping were cool to experience, but well... worth of wasting about 2400hours of my life?
So some time ago I hopefully got my sanity back and quit for good. I may be a weak person for getting addicted like that, but what can you do when the milk is already spilled? Now I'm trying to forget WoW (the game isn't ofc the only thing, there is also dozens of guildies with whom I chatted, spoke in TS, spent lots of time online and so on) and do something else, like reading books, fixing my car or start painting.
There may be 1000 posts like this in the past, but just wanted to add my few cents. This game is more dangerous than it looks at the first glance.

It's an addictive game and i get more addicted to it every day. Let's hope i do not get too addicted...or maybe i allready am...time will tell laddies

#745672 by unknown[31803] at 2006-12-12 19:33:40 (6 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

WoW isn't a bad game just because it's addictive.

If people lose their lives it's because they're crappy enough to do so, it's your option.

Loads of people say that wow is crappy because it's addictive, and you need to be always playing to reach some places, it's true. But there's plenty of stuff for people who actually have a life outside it.

Choosing wow > GF ? I'd say that's pretty insane.
But , again , wow isn't a bad game because some people did this.

Unless these guys reached Rank 14 and/or are now farming Naxx, I laugh at their pity choices.

Well i'm an xbox fangirl and play online with my 360 and that's pretty addictive, i've never played games on my pc as it's mainly used for downloading torrents, but after reading about WOW and seeing the adverts on tv i'm itching to play it so i tried to get the free trial but could'nt play it as i don't have enough RAM, so looks like i gotta do some upgrading before getting this game :-/

#748009 by duuuh (User) at 2006-12-16 18:55:11 (6 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

yeah, but - dont play the 10 day trial. i am playing it now, and i surely will buy world of warcraft - it's only 20$ and is waaay too adictive, so - dont download 10 day trial... ^^

#748269 by unknown[1266] at 2006-12-17 02:14:17 (6 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

what's with this "don't download 10-day trial"-shite? Is there a 30 day trial? [O_o]

otherwise those 10 days gets added to the package you buy, iow, if you buy the real deal those 10 days gets added to your playtime.

#748656 by duuuh (User) at 2006-12-17 15:58:11 (6 years ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

maybe u didn't understand, maybe i didn't write 100% logical. don't download 10 day trial means - u donload trial wow, you get addicted to it. so dont download it (and dont buy it too, doh)
