Been lvl 85 for a week now and there isn't really much to do. I'm lvl 85 rogue playing on Ravenholdt, and I'm not really that into pvp. So I just sit around and wait for a HC queue for 35 min get into the instance and find out that 40% it's filled with douchebag healer or tank that just leaves after a wipe or something. What do you spend your time on other then daylies (getting rep), lvling proffesions and waiting in HC queue?

PvP, but since youre not into that then wait for next expansion, pretty much the wow timeline there

Guess I will have to farm som JP and get some heirlooms then, so that I can lvl more characters. Or get into pvp, but atm I just get crushed so quick, mainly by mages. I dont have the skills required to be good in PvP either, just go in Cheap Shot/Garrote, SnD, Mut, Kidney Shot and then my targets turns around and stuns/fears or just pummels me. Dont get it, when I played rogue on lvl 60 everything was so more balanced then it is at the moment.

I'm in a guild, their doing raids 3-4 times a week. But I'm currently in the army and I dont get enough downtime there to play more then 1-3 hours at the time, max.

Not being able to progress in a game thats only about progressing your character sucks. Sure levling alts may be fun for you but for what point. It's like buying a crappy used car, fixing it for weeks until its super awsome.. and then not drive it. You just place it in the garage and then you are off buying an new crappy used car to fix.

But if lvling new alts is fun = ) than I guess thats all you have in that little time. Other than the heroics you mentioned ofc

Ye, I get maximum 3 hours at the time, online before I get some kind of job I have to do.
My rogue got 339 Item level atm, going for 346 so that I can raid. But my security job here in the army is 12 hours on and 12 hours off. My hours off mainly go to sleeping and eating. Sucks not being able to take a part in the end-game raid content, which was what I liked the most when I played before. If only I could get better in PvP so that is starts being fun aswell anyone have some hints?

do dailies, get addons like bartender or pitbull that change your spell bars > bind spells > don't click. get a decent guild, do some pvp/pve/quests. somehow wow doesn't bore me at all..

I hate Genjuros, the server is full of incompetent people who can't play their classes.
Really hard to start a guild that is serious because EVERYONE is doing it and recruiting.

I have, myself, been a player for long time, TBC as well as wotlk, I dinged 60 a week before TBC was released. So I havnt been that real "vanilla" player.

Tbh, i found these heroics and raids a little harder than it was before, which doesnt have to be negative, just sayin'. I came into a guild, they give me time to learn the fights, not insta-flaming me for failing. And I've done most of the previous "hard stuff".

Ever thought of that?

There's not much to do. Let me list a couple of things I've tried to do:

Heroics.
  - Justice Points (all specs done for me already)
  - Chaos Orbs (just another source of income)

Reputation - doable by Heroics or quests.

Tol Barad Dailies.
  - Daily quests to get commendations to either buy good trinkets and / or flying / ground mount.

JC Daily quest.

5-6 Arena matches per week to get Conquest points capped.

Hunting rares. I found a rare in Vash'jir that dropped an awesome hat that transformed me into a little pirate gnome. Lasts until I remove the hat, it's awesome. Plenty of other rares around too (Get NPCscan addon for this though)

Archeology.
  - Selling Tol'vir Hieroglyphics and Nerubian Obelisks for AH for 1000 gold each. Yes, you can set the price easier then you think.
  - Good gear for alts / main
  - Fun items aswell.

Achievements, in heroics, loremaster, or just unnessesary achievements in general.

Raids. Entertaining, but short. If your guild can clear everything each week, then you've seen the content, and there's nothing else to do. Heroic mode, yeah right - there was only ever one good raid with hard modes, and that was Ulduar.

Besides those points, I have no idea what else there is to do. Those are things I do when I'm online, I also play around with the Deepstone oil /mountspecial along with Potion of Illusion a bit too much.

Don't worry Kpoof, you will experiance these hardmodes  soon enough when new content and instances opens up and new type of "justice points" are avaible for you so you can buy better gear. And then when you have outgeared these hardmodes today, you can experiance them and whine about how easy and boring they are : ).

For others who do experiance actuall hardmodes during their prime time, you will find it's challenging and very very fun.

Algalon had no hardmode, standard fight. Firefighter, same fight as normal, just with fire? Meaning same boss with nore hp and and more dmg.

Hardmode = more hp, more dmg.

Good Hardmode= more hp, more dmg, new abilites to the fight.
For example Arthas HM, entire raid summoned to frostmourne room. And shadow trap anyone?
And then putricide and so on.

I don't wanna have to mention every single boss in icc/toc. But hardmodes bring lots new abilities.

What ulduar had was a start on what would grow into good bossfights. Some bosses didn't even have hardmode, so it's not even a good "hardmode" instance to mention.

Todays hardmodes are great. In BWD for example, nefarian engages every fight and brings new abilities.

But there are not 2 different fights on Algalon. It required HM bosses to unlock him. But he didnt have a harder version of "himself".
The "hardmode" is something that makes a boss harder. Algalon had none. He had just one type of fight. He was hard already I guess, but not a hardmode version :p.

Ulduar had the best hardmode fights, have you even done them at 80? Firefighter were/is excellent. And Algalon is a hardmode fight in the same style as the new heroic drake (cant remember her name )

TotGC were useless, same boss, no new abilities, just a race with some luck involved (WILL TANK BE 1-h FOR THE 100th TIME, WILL TWINS USE THE EASIER TO AVOID ABILITY) etc etc.

ICC, I agree, had some awesome HMs, the new 5-m instances HC mode are awesome aswell, changes a lot and adds new interesting abilities.

Yeah I've done em at 80. And not pugged them. I actually did them when ulduar came out :p and know that it was crap .

You are thinking of Sinestra. She is only avaible on Hardmode and not on normal.
Algalon you could do normal/hc mode and nothing changed.

To get access to Algalon you had to do all the HMs, to do Sinestra you have to......do all the HMs. Both bosses are meant as extra HM bosses giving those people who seek it an extra challenge and loot above the ordinary ilvl of said raid.

But you can only do sinestra in hardmode. !! Combo breaker? Algalon is avaible on both, but nothing changed.

Algalon was an extra boss you got from killing a few bosses in ulduar.

Sinestra is the true last boss in Bastion of Twilight. You can only do it on hardmode and nothing else. You have to kill "Cho'gall" (the corrent last boss of bastion of twilight) to make her spawn.

Algalon was an optional boss. Not a hardmode boss : ).

EDIT: Theres no pattern between them at all. One is an optional boss for doing a quest in ulduar. Other is the last boss avaible after killing current last boss in HM. Sinestra World First Kill is what all the guilds are aiming for. Rest world first are just w/e. It's sinestra that will be that last, and the "fame" bringer to one of the guilds that kill her first.

And again Algalon had no hardmode

Edit2: But then I thought, one could argue that there is no "easier version" of him either .
