Thanks for the answer, don't think I want to play WL this time around. PLayed Mage, druid and warlock before, and I got tierd of warlock when I was leveling up my third char. Might just have been that I got tierd of wow tho.

Does it work if I just get an old account from someone? Maybe from someone that grew tierd of wow early, so that I can just give a couple of hundred for it (NOK)

They used the dark portal for both Vanilla and TBC, just green for TBC. Now I guess it's two dragons in a row.

Well, the portal was reopened in TBC so it kinda made sense, but if they'd have spent time on it i bet it would've been illidan there.

I'm currently leveling my DK and later on my warlock; hopefully I can finish both before Cata hits. Warlock is lvl 70, DK is lvl 69.

It'd be nice; unless rogues get a proper PvE damage buff to make people go "OMGWTF?" (let's be honest, they won't ever allow rogues to stun bosses

), then hybrids and ranged classes seem just like a far better choice.

Sitting doing the new Cataclysm prologue Rift event. It's on www.mmo-champion.com for those who don't know what this is (launched 1st november).

Been wasting almost 3 hours on this bullshit. Got 2/4 rifts, and since they are on a 1 hour spawn timer, I missed the second one, waited an hour, missed the other one because it spawned 5 minutes too early, and now I'm waiting for the 3rd spawn again. Since I have 2 left, I need to fly to another rift in Grizzly Hills right after Zul'drak, and if I miss the last one, I'll have to wait another hour.

Thanks fucking Blizzard for delivering fresh content, asswipes. I hate everything at this moment!

Thinking of giving Cata a go 2-3 months after launch, when most bugs have been fixed, classes balanced and new content out. Will probably delete my 80 warrior and level a mage, the war is the least played toon of mine, even if it was the 1st created

Bugs are fixed, classes balanced, and most content already available, that's why there has been beta testing for many months now.

Everything is balanced around 85, that's why it isn't balanced at 80 now.

pve raiding is just so you can get some nice gear and yeah can be fun, but balance is fundamental also in pve cause otherwise raiding parties will always prefer the most OP class for a role (dps/tank/heal), which means certain classes will have a hard time finding a group if they find it at all, although guild helps a lot.

I play in a pvp server, I often get attacked while I'm questing solo, even while in outposts...even in cities like Stormwind, everytime i pass through the gates someone challenges me etc etc. It's a constant fight the way it should be. Without balance that means no matter how hard I try there's always a class that kills me easily regardless of skill just cause it has a ability or two which I cannot counter. The game clearly needs balance otherwise both pvp/pve become a pointless frustration.

i dont even play anymore but if i find time to come back for cata it will be only for rated bg's and maybe arena if i have time. i remember in TBC i could get glad on a range of classes, then in the latest ex pack at times of total unbalance i could get smoked by pretty average players looking like total noobs but there simply wasn't anything i could do.

Cancled my pre-order today, after having played for almost 5 years I figured it has to stop sometime right?
and im not excited about cata at all, dont get me wrong it has been a loud of fun the past 5 years but when you think about it it doesn't really benefit your real life at all, so i had to cut the cord hehe.
haven't played since february really and the addiction is pretty much gone, i feel no urge to play wow at all :p

well if a DK is the higher dpser in a raid, that's normal, they're meant to do that with their aoe spells, deseases and aoe melee strikes

and DK runes got nerfed with some 10 seconds cooldown if you don't follow a good rotation you end up with the entire bar in cooldown after you used 2 abilities (go read about it, it's super annoying)...and lets be honest, pallys make a shitload of damage and all they have to do for it is simply getting hit by something

I like 2h frost, it's awesome. super fast attack speed, high chance to generate more runic power, frost strikes, just keep on smashing keyboard. always something to do.

and of course topping aoe dps all the time, only problem is non-adequate threat.

Unholy AoE isn't better then Frost AoE at this point of the game on Live. Reaching 160k DPS as frost (sindragosa whelps) by spamming howling blast that crits over 30k on every target (considering it takes 1 frost rune now without a CD = 4 frost runes + 1 with blood tap + empower rune weapon (4)), that makes it 9 howling blasts in a row, not including the ones that have regenerated already.

And frost 2h and frost dual wield are exactly the same at the moment, 2h is even beating it by a bit because you aren't forced to spend 5 talent points in being able to dual wield, and you can put it in more offensive talents in unholy / blood trees.
