Ok, I installed the game and everything works, but the movies, animations, voices, etc are lagging.

Right now I only have 128MB. Already ordered an extra 128MB but it'll take a couple of days to arrive.

When installing, I had the option to make the full install (all movies would be copied to the hd) or the minimum install (all movies would be read from the mounted image in dt4).

While I wait for the extra ram, do you guys think it's better if I choose the full install?

The game only takes 1.6 gb if you choose full install, I think if you choose minimum you can experience some troubles... I don`t know how you are running the game (mounted, SFNightmare, disconnected IDE cable) But if you have one IDE cable disconnected or hidden with SFNightmare, you might encounter problems with the game because it can`t load the files, don`t know for sure if DT4 emulates it properly then... Guess you can try it both, since you have to wait for your memory to arrive

does anyone play the game on 1280x1024? the max resolution i have in-game is 1280x960. this is a problem many people are having. maybe there is something to be changed in the config file, any ideas?

I disconnected the IDE cable and mounted the image with DT4. Yes, I know I need at least 256MB :yes:

But I think it also lags because DT4 has to emulate like if it was reading from the dvd, and it would faster if it was reading directly from the hd, correct?

It's a humle rig

but i meets the minimum requirements, expect for the ram.

Your cousin's pc is way better than mine, and he still has that problem?

OUCH! you are running windows xp and you have 128 mb ram....that sux :no:

zx's edit: I know. At the time I couldn't buy something better$$. But I'm upgrading it little by little. 2 weeks ago I bought the nvidia card.

If the program detects it, it can cause a problem :yes:

still cant kill the first boss...
please help!!!
i get to the higher spots, do a speedkill, the prince stabs the boss in the shoulder -
and then the speedkill stops...
everytime i get to the platform and do a speedkill it stabs him in the shoulder, the speedkill stops, and the prince just stands on the boss's back untill he grabs me and throw me to the floor...
what should i do?
i saw somone that said to just keep doing it, but the prince health just drops till he die becaues the boss throw me on the floor...
what should i do exactly?
can somone please explane to me in plane english what should i do step by step?

@Blavie when he grabs you from his shoulder the dagger will light up again when you are in his fist, you have to be carefull not to press attack again before this happens otherwise it won't appear,so just wait, when you time it right he will throw you into the air and you will land back on his face and the dagger will light up again and thats when you poke him in the eye as said the secret is not to press attack until the exact right moment.

I can select up to 2048x1536 in-game....
But 1280x960 seems ok to me, I use it myself, why is it a problem?
(I don't get it why ppl use 1280x1024 for games and desktop anyway, it's not even ratio 4:3, 1280x960 is 4:3.... :smirk:

because my tft has 1280x1024 native resolution, 1280x960 come with a black line on the side not full screen :-)

i still can't figure how to change the setting

I beat it yesterday morning its the worst in the series and just horrible using that crappy ass dagger the whole time

Felt rushed hopefully this will be the last one because if they keep dragging it on like they did this one it will totally destroy it.

I still liked the first one / the way the prince looked.

So yeah big disapointment i was expecting so much more.

Now i guess theres nothing else to play until next year.

EDIT: Oh and i beat the boss on my own with out reading any guides it took me 3 tries 2 times dying at very last part.
