turn off windows firewall. you don't need any software firewalls because the WRT54GS has a hardware firewall in it that beats the hell out of any software out there. try setting uTorrent to port 55555 and setting your router to forward TCP/UDP 55555-55555. that's what i use and i have the same router.

I've been using it now for a while and came to conclusion that sucks. Speeds are terrible. BitComet is much better.
iv reconised if your seeding another torrent and download (diff torrent) my dl speed gets cut in half
anyone else ?

You have to limit your upload speed to be able to download at full speed, that happens to everyone who has DSL-based connections. Limit your upload speed to about 80% of its total capacity and your download speeds should go up again.
For example, I have max 850kb/s down and 95kb/s up, if I cap my upload limit at 60kb/s, I can download at 400kb/s, if I cap it at 30kb/s, I can download at 700kb/s and if I cap it at 5kb/s I sometimes get around 850kb/s. You have to check it for yourself, the slower your connection is the less you have to cap.

Strange. I have a similar connection (around 800kB/s down and 80kB/s up) and when I cap at 72kB/s (as the speedguide in µTorrent recommends) I get full download speed.

I'm having a problem with utorrent for the first time. Every time that I try to download I'm getting a tracker error. Under tracker status it says OFFLINE(TIMED OUT). I'm getting this from multiple sites so I'm sure it is a problem on my end. I haven't changed any of the settings but now I'm getting this problem when it worked before. Anyone have any suggestions?
Edit: Sorry realized there is a problem with my firewall and utorrent. I need to go in make some changes with the firewall. It's working again now.

Not sure if this is possible and I certainly dont want to be flamed about it but, is there any way to seperate the torrents you are downloading from the torrents you are seeding? So that they are separated in two different areas. Probably a stretch, but if someone does know how, then please tell me. Thankx!

whats so good with µtorrent? I mean why should i have this over the normal BT client.. I have them both installed but dont use µtorrent...
This prog starts to piss me off quite good. It just can't complete a download - some part remains uncompleted, it shows, that its downloading, the ETA reaches zero and starts over again and over again... going back to BitComet soon I think.

Sounds moe like something to do with the peers you're getting the files from (sending bad data) or your hardware failing on you.

Nothing wrong with the client..
In that case, explain why this happens with almost all the torrents I DL from TB and other sites and I didn't have any problem with BitComet?

Can't see what you're doing, so I have no clue. All I know is this has nothing to do with µTorrent being inferior since otherwise it would be a known issue and I doubt people would put up with something that annoying..

I remember when i tested utorrent the first time.. I got the same problem, first it went fine then after about 30 mins I got something like the data is wrong or the download is failing..

Like I've said once before in this thread (or another.. heh) best ask in their forums about it. But, my experience with things like that are that the user's hardware is slowly failing and some clients are able to ignore that to an extent while others aren't for one reason or another. Or, clients sending bad data and not being blocked..

Yes, you just add the link to the RSS feed in µTorrent.
