It never hit full speeds for me and the upload bounced about from 40-55 kbps, when in BC 0.60 its a constant 55 kbps on the exact same seeds/torrents. The downloads never get nowhere near 850+kbps that BC gets
so for me and my upload stats...think I will stick with BC 0.60
Actually, even though BC is a good seeder client, the problems you're having are most likely because the BC UI doesn't update quite as fast to show fluctuations like the µtorrent UI does.
Ever noticed when your upload speed increases, that the time to downnload is way higher than it should be and doesn't seem to update? That's something I like to call a retarded UI.
But, as I said, BC is a very good seeder client.. but you'll only notice major differences at speeds of 10mbit+.

22mbit coming so definately not touching it again.
Only this client does this to me, no others do it (AZ BC BT Bram's) @ bouncing update rates, but still when it reached full upload it would only stay there for a second then come right down to around the 40's. So was getting a second @ full speed and about 9 seconds around 40kbps.
Makes it useless besides the low system resources that it uses. Low CPU and mem use are great but if my speeds are not full whats the point.

Hmm.. unstable connection m8? Dunno what else could be causing that.. I'm getting constant speeds here. Not tried it on the 10mbit yet, but I'll give it a whirl nonetheless.

I am not unstable...the doctor said I am more than OK now
its not my connection
sensedit: Now?? So it's happened before? And you said it was a one-time thing...
GreenEdit - it comes and goes but I have been good for a long time honest.I am still not legally allowed to carry/come into contact with petrol and a lighter though. *calls for mrs to light spliff*

so is this really as good as some ppl say it is? still using azureus here and the only bad thing about it is the high memory use.. other then that... worth the switch?

Its good and sweet...
But..
.. they cant f-ing understand what pre-allocate is supposed to be like... When turned on, it pre-allocates all files, even the skipped ones.
Other than that (one can turn on some NTFS feature, sparse files but, me like pre-allocate) its a nice client and some features are good!

I also got a 20mbit connection, and with bitcomet i get like 1700kb/s download speed, and with Utorrent i only get like 600kb/s max.
So I just stick with Bitcomet

I have no problems with the program. Works just fine
For the first time in my life, I'm unconnectable, and it seems it all started when I upgraded to 1.2.2
Nothing changed in my network, port forwarding is still the same, no changes were made to the network nor the pc. The only thing that changed was the client version

Perhaps it returns to normal after you restarted your computer, but it should probably go away the next time you upgrade your client. If it doesn't, you can always download an older version from µTorrent's website.
µTorrent 1.3 is finally out after a long wait! The biggest change in µTorrent 1.3 is the support for unicode. I decided to bump the revision number to 1.3 because of the big changes required to support unicode!
It should also give a little bit better upload speed for people on fast connections.
Full changelist:
- Feature: UNICODE!
- Feature: Added option to enable/disable internal tracker.
- Feature: Detect encoding field in a torrent and parse filenames accordingly.
- Feature: Support crashdumps on pre-WinXp.
- Feature: Added option to sort downloads based on the label.
- Feature: Autodetect if the language textfile is utf8 or ansi.
- Feature: Rate limit DHT traffic.
- Feature: Nicer availability graph.
- Feature: Added setting to control how fast utorrent tries to connect to new peers.
- Change: Increase the amount of connects a bit.
- Fix: Error message in tray would sometimes not go away
- Fix: Don't count a seed as a download if there are free seed slots (#68)
- Fix: Change random port selection
- Fix: Upload a little bit more aggressively
- Fix: ulslots wasn't saved properly on restart.
- Fix: Support piecesize 16k.
- Fix: Use atomic movefile when saving resume file on XP
- Fix: Better utorrent.exe.log if translation loading fails
- Fix: Fix bug that DHT got stuck in (Login)
- Fix: Fixed some crash bugs. (Thanks to the crash dumps)
- Fix: Hopefully worked around the file open crash. (Caused by Adobe Acrobat 7).
- Fix: Fix crash bug if an invalid filename is selected in the opendialog.
- Fix: Fix crash when removing torrents.
- Fix: Fix sorting in pieces tab

µTorrent 1.3 build 364 is out with some last minute fixes, please re-download or use the auto-update feature.
I think it fixed some "open-torrent" bug that they were speaking of in the uT forum.

for people with slow connection/inconsistant upload problems. change your max global/per torrent connections to 512 and your max upload slots per torrent to 6. that fixed the problem for me.

For selecting which files not to download, you open the Torrent and then right click and disable the file download which blows . Can it be done like BitComet where you just uncheck the Arrows or assign which files not to be downloaded before you actually connect to the tracker?

Well Isnt that what I just mentioned? Right click and click Do not download? It would be neat if we could select files before actually opening the torrent file (or it starting to function .. you know what I mean )

In general options, ou can set "New torrents start in stopped mode" ctrl +a aelects all files and you can hold ctrl while clicking to remove/add individual files. Not quite as easy as bc, but almost.

I already have that setting. Thanks for notifying that it doesn't get any neater.
