Just wanted to add (in case someone, who wanted to know already hasnt figured out) how to add autodownload for tv-episodes etc using the RSS feeder, you can follow "rotatorn's" (excellent) guide up the end of the quote:

ok, so now you can make the url for the rss feed, it'll look something like this:
http://www.torrentbytes.net/rssdd.xml:C … 42e987aa06

Now we get to add the names of episodes we want in utorrent.
The RSS reader is accessed in the options menu -> RSS
Add your feed in on the feed tab then press favourites.

EDIT: For all you lazy bastards out there here is a quick snapshot on my settings

This will download "Csi new york", but not any eventual releases with AC3 sound, in 720p format or "CSI Miami" (i know i dont have to add it since the mainfilter rules this out but for educational purposes i let it stay

)
It will save it to D:\AutoSerier
The Smart ep. filter will make µTorrent to only download the first version of each new episode that matches the filter

You can add it for anything, but there aint much logic in it, for example, its hard to know whats gonna be downloaded, but it works fine if you add the proper filters i guess.
One good thing i guess is if you know a certain movie is gonna be released and your gonna go to bed, then you can add so it downloads over night, no later than 30 mins after its released on TB.

It was about time that the website had been redesigned. IMO is way better now than it was before. I would even consider switching if I wasn't using Linux :-P

BTW, how's it going with those disk cache isues?

You can configure the disk cache if you want, but the default configuration is much better now and especially at high speeds(10-100mbit+) it's much faster and easier on the drives.

I can't wait for the webui

I don't know if you noticed, but apparently the Linux client, when it comes, will have a command interface combined with the webui.

the web interface seems useless, there are a lot and enough of rd out there to need a basic control and to me, its a security issue comming. And about the linux version, they say that is in developing... That could be nice see this running on linux but I dont see that this will come soon. Bah, who knows.

well i went back to Utorrent 1.2.2 :lol:

i see they have put a anti leech system on the new versions. if you set your DL speed to 0 & upload speed to 1kbs you wont go over 10kbs. it will work if you set it to say DL 0kbs Up 6kbs, you can only dl say 2 torrents at a time. so the new version Forcese you to put your upload speed to near max! witch will make you dl speed higher! in there Eyes! in fact its kinda BS.. because for people who dont have a high end BB connection even with the Xp limitpatch to open the 10 to 50 connections, wont realy be able to dl anything more then 3 torrents at a time. the prob is if you want high DL speeds! you would normaly have your upload on the lowest setting i mean even 3kbs will do. so you can Dl at (for 8MB) 870kbs :whistle:

& then seed after you get it :thumbsup:

so you can enjoy the app while still seeding to others! (works better that way for most)
but since 1.4 it kills your DL speed because it sets your upload speed to say 50kbs.. if you have over 2MB or higher Connection. witch then kills you DL speed overall! shame to.. as i got 1.2.2 & 1.3 & they works fine with tIt both DL & UPL :-P

so in other words.. Versions 1.3 & lower work best. then new Versions have Limitters on them so you have to DL & UPL at the same time.. Hence there View of Anti Leeching :blush:

witch makes you dl slower & wait twice as long for the App/Film or what not!

its good in some sence & bad in some!
if you read in the forum about it.. lol most of them are very unhappy!!!

I haven't noticed any speed drops and limits even though I've upgraded, I have a 8/0.8Mbit DSL connection. What's the use of putting your upload speed at 3kb/s anyway, if you put it at 30kb/s or something you'll still get full speed, and you seed more during the leech time, so you won't have to seed that long.

I switched to µTorrent today because Azureus was unstable lately. It seems more light and less memory consuming than Azureus. By now, I have reached a download speed of 4mb/s while in Azureus I hardly could get a 2.5mb/s. And µTorrent seems to succeed easier an upload speed nearby the upload limit related to Azureus.

I am excited but I still have to test µTorrent as for its reliability and stability.

Any one here with good setting for a 10/10 connection on µTorrent 1.4?

Now i´ve got
Global 1000
Torrent 200
Upload 80
and <90% is ticked

But seems to be inpossible to go above 600/600 (speed is set for "0" for unlimited)

It used to work before, but had to do a reinstall of Windows and since then i haven´t been able to get any good speeds (the i´ve opened up a port for the program and i know it´s not problem there but with the connections.)

I heard some people changed the Max down and up to something else then "0" try putting it to 1500 or something maybe that helps.

And did you edit the max conections limit in SP2 from 10 to 50?

DHT:
Tracker down->Gets peers from DHT->Leeches

Peer Sharing:
Tracker down->No peers->No Leech

There is a BIG difference. While DHT replaces the tracker, Peer sharing complements it. The trackers sends a maximum of 50 peers to clients, so if the torrent has 1000 peers you're loosing access to their bandwidth. Peer Exchange lets users send each other peer information, but if you're not connected to the tracker it won't work.
