You don't need to istall anything, don't even need a crack. Just Install the game and to connect to a cracked server go to CoD2MP.exe and open up the console by pressing the ~ key. Type /connect <the ip> (take the brackets off)
another way is to use xfire or ASE (all seeing eye) Just add these servers to your favourites one by one and launch the game from there.
