Hi all, I'm trying to set up a cracked server, but i can't get it to work. I've got my updated (v1.2) CoD2 installation, patched with the cracked CoD2MP_s.exe (also v1.2). Then I editted my host file (\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts) with:

BTW If I use the shortcut to start it doesn't work. But if I start CoD2 and start the server in-game (as dedicated) then it does work... (while using the same config file)

not sure what your dedicated problem is.. will have a proper read over your post when I get a spare 10 mins
but you will have to leave that server up for about 30 mins before anyone will be able to connect to you (seems the master server has to time out before letting anyone join)
edit - remove all the mods from the main folder and try that with a dedicated server.. if not set it to unpure and see if that works as a dedicated one.
2 edit - paste all the info about the dedicated problems..will tell you in the console box that comes up

sorry for the noob question- but how do I join these cracked servers.
do I supposed to install something?
all the servers in the list inside the game aren't working and I dont think that I can log into the cracked servers from there.
anyway, i will be glad if someone will tell me how to do this.
