Yeah, at school i can download torrents on the computers, BitComet can be installed, getting speeds above 6mb/s there and this can be @ multiple pc's i think the school has a 1 or 2gbit connection, so that'd go pretty fast

I download whatever i need/want and then i seed it untill i get 1.5 ratio or above
me too..never felt a need to download stuff I do not want in order to seed it. Just download what you want but be prepared to seed it until the ttl expires...no need to download things for the purpose of seeding if you do that.

I was about to download something just to seed but then Oliver Twist appeared and I downloaded that. It kind of sucks that there hasn't been anything good (to me) besides that cause TB = awesome download speeds.
As for seeding until time expires, I do that, but still don't always get a >1.00 share ratio. Crappy upload speeds

since i joined the site (about 3 days ago now) i've ONLY downloaded for the point of seeding, i had no torrents that were like the ones here, so i couldnt seed what i already had, now i'm fighting to not lose my account already because i downloaded 1.5 full torrents, and i'm slowly uploading the one, having stopped the other... still have the Your ratio is dangerously low! too
wish there was a better way to build new member ratio, you have to hurt it to help it.

yes as the only stuff that was good for getting my ratio up when I joined, I wasnt downloading. So I got 1-3 files from a dvd-r and let them seed, could usually upload 2gig off 50 or 100meg downloaded.

I download what I like, however I seed whichever has more peers. Given that I have horrible upload speeds (verizon/128kbps) I sorta have to if I ever want to see a ratio above bannable.

I voted Yes, because it was the most correct answer, but I don't PURELY dl for seeding. I only dl stuff I or some friend might want, then I almost always seed the whole TTL, often brings the ratio up to 1.3 of that specific torrent.

Yupp I have,but never from this site. It's quite easy to get good status here. But at ADC, which is overflodded with torrent, it's a bit harder. So I downloaded a 'treasure torrent' (which means that only upload counts in your stats, not the download) and that torrent was some sort of documentary about Nirvana ( not the band, the state of mind) . Like I ever gonna watch that Just gonna seed it untill the torrent is dry, then it's bye bye into the trash bin!
