This works for me:

Mount Disc1 in Daemon-tool4.
Turn all emulation options OFF.
Get sd4hide.exe from here
Start sd4hide and click hide.
Play the game!

there is one thing that ir really pissing me off in MW. it is black edition, what I have got, and there can't change MPH to KMH and Feets to Metres... :rant:

Someone apparently fgured this out already, but here is another work around :
The file autorun.cfg in the directory AutoRun on CD 1 has to be altered.

The line DirectXVersion=9.0c has to be altered to: DirectXVersion=0.

Since no changes can be made to a CD mounted with Daemon Tools, I copied the whole CD 1 to my harddisk and altered it there.

But I still got the problem to update my DirectX even through windows homepage, I tried the webupdate and I have downloaded the whole DirectX package and nothing worked.

When im trying to update DirectX this message appears: "DirectX did not copy a required file" and the installation ends there.

EDIT: I�ve looked in services.msc and the "Cryptographic Services" is started and is set to automatic.

YES! this worked for me too!

I HAVE directx9.0c in my pc but i couldnt install the game because of this warning that i have to update directx to 9.0c.I thing its a bug or a problem of the drivers i use.
Anyway,now it works thx to CDM100

Have you tried to update your DirectX through microsofts homepage ? That dosne�t work for me..

well this worked for me to as well. but I still have problems with starting the game. is there any crack or anything because my windows responds with "insert the right cd-rom....you know"....or is it just me who can't start the game with just changing the compability and then mount cd 1?

and by the way...how do u use this sd4hide program anyway? and what does it do?

The problem is that i borrowed 4 cd's from my friend, and he can't play !!, because he doesnt have image of this game on his HD !!

u dont need a crack, just do as told before:

This works for me:

this did work for me and i tested and played, not working this time though, back to cd message

doing eaxctly the same as did before but now cannot play.

must be the 1st game ever i have had an issue with.

Edit: works now if do above but mount the mdf file and not the mds of cd1.

well definetely a flaky release, now playing and mid game dropped to desktop as others have said, many years of warez games and the 1st to give issues.

I go lower some settimgs maybe

when i trying to turn daemon 4 it says:
the program requires at least windows 2000 with SPTD 1.21 or higher...

LOL, now I have got a problem!. When i try to launch the game, it is loading... loading... and suddenly shows that "Speed.exe" is having a trouble, and i can only click "send" "dont send"... What to do ??

I was installing it from 4 CD's which was burned in other computer, and on that computer it was working !

What to do ?

please 4 help!

I have a problem.... When I get to the woman on the blacklist, I think she is the 4th.... And I try to play the loading screen hangs up.... It's the xbox version.

Do any one have an solutions?

Try shutting down sd4hide when the game has already started, I can play longer with sd4hide turned off again..

What works best for me is:
mount with d-tools ( i even still have 3.47, but should work the same with D-tools4)
when the game's autorun pop-up starts then i start
sd4hide en hide the drive, then start the game itself up via
the play button on the autorun pop-up
This'll start the game, then I switch to desktop to close
sd4hide en switch back to the game again.
With this way it works for me (hope for you the same ;-)

how can I get Performance upgrades?
All I have is Unique one, but what do I have to do to get the normal ones? :unsure:
