The Need for Speed Community Manager from EA confirmed on the official NFS forums that the XBOX/PS2 demo for NFS Most Wanted is available for public consumption. They should be available at the following local retailers soon:

Best Buy (and Canada)
Circuit City
EB (and Canada)
Extras
Fry's
Futureshop
GameCrazy
GameRush
Gamestop
Hastings
Musicland (yes, Musicland)
Rhino Games
TransWorld
Virgin MegaStores (yes, Virgin)

So, go and grab a copy of it for your PS2 or XBOX and have some fun! The PC demo isn't out yet and from what we know, it won't be available for a while.

Other than the BMW and RX8 which are available for you from the beginning, there's also a hidden car in the demo. You need to enter a cheat for it... just try some button combinations and you might eventually get it. Trust me, the effort is well worth the end result -- the unlocked car looks beautiful, handles well, and has me drooling. Now... only if I could remember how I unlocked it.

Its been a while since I posted some news on NFS and for those who havn't been following the progress on NFS:Most Wanted I'll give a short recap on te news since last update.

As said in the last newspost the demo would feature a unlockable car. The car turned out to be a yellow Porsche Cayman S. And the button combination to unlock this car in the demo is: L1, R1, R1, R1, Right, Left, Right, Down.

I have two hopes for this game: a) NFS: PU kind of feel to it and b) NO more RUBBERBAND effect. If the rubberband is there, there's no point playing it.

Imo the rubberband effect made the single player much more effective, you had to push all the way

Well actually it made the whole singleplayer quite pointless, atleast for me in a 10 lap race you could drive 8 laps 100km/h and push the last 2, you'd still win and of course the opposite, you could drive 9 laps perfectly, do a little mistake in the last and lose. It took everything out of it. They should make the game hard to begin with if they want it to be a challenge.

porsche unleashed was the apex of the NFS franchise, imo. after that, it went downhill with HP2 and the faddy (faggy) UGs... I hope this new one will deliver where the others left lacking.

NFS MW will be a mix of NFS and Burnout as you can see in the rar i posted (destroying public property etc.)
