For all of you who don't take the anime business all that serious I strongly recommend to watch Genshiken. It's a 12 eps series about an anime/manga/games club at a japanese college and once you get through the 1st episode it's really worth the time. The more you know about animes in general the funnier it is.
The show got one of highest ratings on anidb.

You can find it over at boxtorrents or tokyotosho. Enjoy

I have seen it and I did not like it, and you can't trust the ratings at anidb.

Hey Draed, genshiken is one of my favourite series! I thought it was really, really funny. You must be looking forward to season 2 which is coming out sometime soon maybe (wikipedia claims october). Also, did you catch the 3 OVA episodes that featured on the kujibiki unbalance dvd? I like the new character, but I didnt think that they were as good as the main series. Hopefully season 2 will bring it back up to its usual standards!

I must say though, to enjoy this anime, I think it helps to be a big anime fan interested in many of the different anime genres, or be verging on the otaku status yourself.

After seeing the episode 25 of Claymore it feels like there needs to be a second season to catch it all... all of the plot is not yet finished from my point of view... This is quite a new series right? or am I wrong?
'Cause all questions can't possibly be solved in the coming episode...

The fight with Priscilla, the rest of the Dwellers of the Deep.. what about them? and how about the relation between Raki and Clare.. how will it evolve or how will it not etc.?

this is what the info on wikipedia says:

"The anime adaptation of the manga began airing on Nippon Television on April 3, 2007. It is planned to run for 26 episodes. It faithfully followed the plot of the manga up until about episode 20, where it started to diverge. By episode 25, the plot had changed completely. The 26 episode run would not have been suficient to cover all the manga published so far.

The anime is directed by Hiroyuki Tanaka and Madhouse Studios with character designs by Takahiro Umehara, series organization by Yasuko Kobayashi and music by Masanori Takumi."

Hope I don't have to buy all manga just to get to know how it'll follow up.. like Berserk! Man, costs too much money :grumpy:

I thought about the dwellers of the deep and the relationship between Clare and Raki a couple of ep's ago but it went completely out of my mind when i saw the latest ep's.. Seems like we can get another season then

Indeed, but the way they changed the story is disturbing!
They planned to change it abruptly (around episode 20 -wikipedia source info), maybe they did so just 'cause it's anime... gotta wait for the manga to catch a gap ahead or it's some anime that's not highly prioritated, just to get the audience interest (like Berserk).

Sometimes ya wonder how the author and publisher thinks..
We're missin' some real plot from the manga here.. curious what it is :hmmm:

I'm not too hopeful for a claymore second series. There's been 4-5years of manga material that has been covered in the anime, so presumably, they'll need another 4-5 years for second season

@staren: weeeell, Ranma � and M�R (M�rchen Awakens Romance) are some great animes, funny as well.. especially Ranma!^^ Boxtorrents has got all Ranma � Seasons and Isohunt/Bakaupdates have the M�R episodes! GO FOR IT! ;-)

I don't know really what type I'm looking for but I really loved: Death Note, Hunter X Hunter, GTO, Naruto and Bleach. God, how amazing is Hunter X Hunter.

But don't know what episode Ii watch to, just that one of the 3 girls that was chasing the girl with the little girl got turned into some super monster. If that made any sense.

You do know that there's a lot of scanlations (translated scans) on the internet to download, just like anime? :-/

@staren: I agree Hunter x Hunter is brilliant^^ watched it all

there's the first season/main arc with 62 ep's or somethin and then GI-FINAL, and 2 OVA series.. still ya wanna know some stuff after watched it all :-/

I've seen FMA loved it. Jusr forgot to mention it. But one piece, isn't that like 300 eps... And is it really that good?

One Piece is very good, much much better than bleach and naruto imo. Theres currently 325 eps out -but trust me, you wont want it to end once you get into it

Naruto didn't impress me:

naruto wasn't that impressive for a double episode .. also useless parts .. like "you should seal his chakra before it grows more than 1 tail" .. he grew the 2nd tail and nothing happened .. and the lame speech from before from Fuzzy eye bows .. "we should get stronger than we first met them"

Agreed, naruto is getting worse and worse. I might just drop the anime and stick to the (much better) manga story.
