hahaha, i've just watched it.. at first i didn't like it either, but when i finished i was already used to it...
don't know if i will continue to watch this series, but i would'nt be suprised if i end up liking the way it is drawn.

and yeah, it really was ugly :/

Btw, If the content is really good, it can compensate for the crappy drawing.
Sometimes series are purposely made with crappy/semi-crappy animation to stay true the manga drawings I guess?. Great Teacher Onizuka, Hajime Ne Ippo, Ike Inachu Takkyu Bu (AKA Ping pong Club), all had outdated animation styles and looked like series from the early 80's. But over all they turned out to be f*cking marvellous , especially Ippo and Ping Pong :w000t:

There is a difference between crap and old, oh and I do not agree that they look like series from the 80's, atleast not like any of the series from the 80's i have seen.

I know there is a difference between crap and old. Is GTO or Ippo Old? I think you would agree 2002 and 2003 anime's are not old yet. Inachu Takkyu was made in 1995 but still. I dont know what series you have seen but there are a couple of 80's ones I saw that looked really good to be from the 80's .. Captain Tsubasa and its OVA's and sequels was one of them. Grew up on Tsubasa :o)

Question: Is it safe to watch One Piece in front of my 6 and 8 Year old sisters? They always want to watch whatever I am and I have been letting them watch Blood+. I am from a very conservative family of course and even the occasional Ani-Cleavage is a definite No. (Julia from Blood+ did make me cringe when siblings were nearby). In any case, can I watch One Piece in front of them?

If you can watch Blood+ with them, you can definetly watch One Piece with them. I'm currently at ep 139 (just started watching), and I don't see any problem at all for 6 and 8 year olds to watch it. I'd say that it's made for 8 year olds to watch

I watched the First episode of One Piece today. Very Entertaining! :thumbsup:

.. I can definitely watch 275 more of those + 1 every week henceforth :o)

I watched it with my siblings and there wasn't anything bad .. but I'd rather start Ep 2 without them ..
