Anyone recommend a film. I'd like something fairly recent so the last 12 or so years would be good as I watched a lot of Anime Manga before that.
Ideally I'd like sci-fi or action almost anything but comedy and something I'm likely to find dubbed in English would be awesome.

Lots of good movie, a recent one is Summer Wars, you could probably find it dubbed, although i don't see why anyone would want to see anything dubbed.

Then you got the appleseed movies, very high budget movies with celshading and shit, it's awesome.

Theres 2 endings to the original series (episode 25 & 26 or End of evangelion movie) and there will be 4 new films in total.

i hate that they try to "please" everyone with nice endings but it should remain as it was when it actually ended. The movies and diff endings are nice but , its just too much^^

Mustang is blind, Al gave up his chance to return to his original body, and it seems in the next episode we'll find out what the 5 sacrifices are for and what the country wide transmutation circle is for. Roll on next week!!

Also for those that read the bleach manga

WTF. Just kill Aizen and Gin now, then say story over. Seriously it's getting stupid at the moment

If you have two endings you can shoose whicver suits you best! it's easier to please more people, i f you don't like the ending you will preffer the original.

PS: I like the changes they made in the series! Too bad that i need to wait two years to see the next movie...

The FMA manga is only like 3-4 episodes ahead of the anime atm so reading it now wouldn't spoil that much ahead.

And yes, Bleach sucks.

Actually episode 25 & 26 was just for completing the series, they wanted to make the end of eva ending from the beggining but ran out of time.

I can just about tolerate subs in live action movies but in animated flicks I don't see the point and can't enjoy the film. Anyway thanks for for the recommendations.

Indeed, felt like a bit of evangelion crept in, and not in a good way

I hope everyone doesn't die in the end because of it :lol:

Although i suspect it's the standard anime "haha now i am more powerfull than ever" "but you forgot that now you have a weak spot!" "what the...." dies

Still, FMA surprises me every step of the way so lets hope the ending doesn't cop out

Don't know if any of you care, or know yet, but Dattebayo will no longer sub Bleach after episode 274. Crunchyroll has the rights to simulcast it effective episode 274 so DB decided they wanted it to be their last. Thank (insert deity of choice here). I'm sick of DB's work on this since last September. I'm eager to see CR's work on it. More info here (<-clicky clicky)

I'll try out the CR/HS versions but I'm sure that Element will still push out a release on Saturdays. Flomp also seems to like the series enough to do batches.

I usually watch most of my shows on my tv through ps3/ps3 media server but somehow when I try to play anime's they will just lag and stutter all the way. I would like to note that I can watch 720p tv show stuff without problems.

Does somebody know why this happens and if this can be solved?

It could be anything really. However I'd venture to guess that the framerate is either fixed or variable, and one of those two is the problem. Or it could be the container. If it's .avi, xvid/divx, .mkv, mp4, SD and causing you problems but your HD files aren't then you'll need to convert it. Personally I don't have a PS3 so it's not an issue for me. However, hanging out on rizon (idling really) I've noticed that those are the 2 main issues that need addressing when trying to watch files on your PS3. You'll need to check into forum boards, read up at videohelp.com and try many things till you hit on the winning trick. Or, possibly someone here has already done a tutorial to address this for you.

UbieEdit: Just noticed I didn't post on topic. So, {on topic}, just watched the CR/HS version of Bleach 274 and DB's version. At least CR/HS has heard of softsubbing (something DB has fought against for years now), and they've at least read enough boards to know what fans want vis-a-vis *legacy words*. It's something DB screwed up last September and refused to properly address, imho. Legacy words... apparently zanpakutou, reiatsu and shinigami are legacy words but Getsuga Tenshou isn't. Apparently the, so called, editing staff at DB (in their infinite wisdom) decided that Heaven Shocking Lunar Fang is what fans of a 5 year old show wanted to see on their screens instead of something else they'd been reading (on screen and in manga) for several years. However, CR/HS seems to have fixed this lapse in judgement evidenced by the team at DB. They also seem to have addressed the issue of missed translations, video encoding (epic fail on timecop's part) and their timing is at least ok. Granted it's not better than DB's, but it's hardly worse and something that can be fixed as they get better at it.{/on topic}

I've been searching for Hellsing OVA 6 now and I can't seem to find it anywhere :/ Was it ever released on TB? I've been in South Africa for 6 months so I'm sort of out of the loop on everything.
