Though the naruto manga right now are on an all time high (the best arc in naruto EVER IMO), the fight between naruto and pein is going strong, i find myself waiting for the manga every week, bleach manga is also going strong though not on the same level, Ichigo's gettin the crap beaten out of him like always, its 300+ episodes of naruto and they haven't even reached halfway of the manga, they are really draggin this one...

I can assure you One Piece will become alot better after a while of watching, I would say starting with the chopper arc somewhere after episode 60. I also liked the nami arc, somewhere around episode 30-45. its 5 perhaps 6 years ago since i have last seen them so my assumptions might be innacurate

It's a matter of information I would say which makes the anime more interesting over time. The more you see the more information you assimilate. With enough assimilation the anime will live up to its name. However I would like to point out that the "god Enel" arc should be avoided unless you are a die-hard because the information gathered in that arc is really insufficient to compensate with the time consumed by watching 50 episodes. it will spare you around 50 episodes Though this is just a matter of opinion.

I would say that it exeeds both naruto and bleach in action and drama by far. There are also much more mistery's in the world of one piece which you will learn over in time, the knowledge about this will make it much more attractive to watch.

So i reached till 50 episodes, and yes its is really good, the nami arc was the best so far, its really fun to see even the non action eps as the comedy is so freakin awesome, am definitely gonna watch the whole series, and yes it is better then bleach and naruto, in terms of character and their interaction, it feels a lot more...maybe "realistic" then bleach or naruto

Ye have to agree with you.. The filler arc in Naruto is really pissing me off right now. Thats just becasue Im reading the manga and I really want to see all that juicy stuff that's about to come along!

But I think you have an interesting point there. I've been watching alot of other animes now besides Naruto compared to 1-2 years ago when I only watched Naruto, and it has changed my taste and I've noticed that Naruto isn't really "that good" which I thought before. Though Naruto is good(when they don't go filler crazy and just piss me off) it can't really keep up with other animes.

Yet I still find myself waiting for the next ep every damn week, probably hoping for something decent every time

. The manga kicks ass now though! :ninjajig:

It's one of the worst animes ever to be conceived by the human mind. It's almost impossible to imagine a crappier title. If you'd go in the basement and watch drops of water sliding on the walls it would be a better spent time than watching that garbage

on the subject though.. Naruto isnt all that. Try to find a easy going anime that's got good reviews and watch that rather than plainly watching a show thats so stretched out like naruto.

I just started to get some more manga stuff, it been years

I have a few films, akira, ghost in shell, metropolis, appleseed, vampire hunter d, ninja scrolls, spirited away etc

but the gf's boy asked me to get the full series of Bleach for him

I just got them and thought prob about time i looked at some series if more adult style etc

im gonna try these bleach and have put a request in at a site for Berserk as I hear thats very good

any other recommendations for good visual, story and non child like manga films I have missed or some series

Monster, Death Note, Code Geass, 12 Kingdoms, Cowboy bebop, Stand Alone Complex, Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Very good, non childish series. You never need requests for anime, everything is available on public trackers

Storm Riders Clash of Evil movie. Does anybody have subtitles(ENG) that actually work? The one I have won't load in vlc or xbmc.

Well chances are it might use softsubs, and both vlc and xbmc have horrible softsub support. Take a look at anidb.net as it have a list of all fansubs.

it was odd that I couldn't even open the sub in notepad too. Been doing some reading on softsubs and I think I will just wait for a fan made one or even an english audio version of the film. I don't mind bad dubbing in a film. Makes it more of a comedy that way.
