i wonder why exactly do you wrongfully think kenshin is good, let alone ''the best'' ?

Kenshin ovas are pretty damn awsome. The series is good, but not compared to ovas

Can anyone recommend an anime with similar characters as Utawarerumono ?
I just love some of the characters there, and would like to see a show that has similair chars. (dont like the main chars that much tho) But catgirl<3

yeah, kenshin definitely has one of the best fillers that's for sure. I mean it's not everyday that you get an anime where the first episode is a filler ,and the second and then 30 more and then 35 more. Almost 100 episodes long, with 30 episodes with an actual story, and even that stretched as hell, around how Bleach is right now.

And of course contrary to the ova's which are genuinely good, here we have a do good character, these types are always annoying no mater what anime you watch. And the fights ,good lord, shut the fuck up, you dumb fuck, this were the word going trough my mind, shut the hell up and fight. I was permanently with my hand on the mouse to fast forward. I even talked to myself a few times, it was exhausting, they talk so damn much during the fights, and they explain what they do form every persons perspective, jesus christ it's like naruto almost. And EVERY fight follows the same rutine, punch kenshin a bit, then he does smth to kick tehir ass. Plus instead of keeping some realism to the whole deal, you have guys that create vaccum with a slash of the sword, that move so fast that, dear god, the human eye can't keep contact with them, you have the ''aura'' shitline, of course that alows you to read the enemy's movements.

And the battle with the mummy guy must be the crappiest fight i've ever seen, or if not, in top 5 for sure. They get up and down and overpowered so much that even Gundams have more shame that that. Sure, when i was 5 or 6 i also thought this kind of battles to be cool, you have the main character encounter some tough guy, and they beat each other up for 2 months, and when everything seems lost, the main char pulls some secret power out his ass, and tadaa, the day is saved. But that was at age 5.

Well either way the age target is 10-14 i guess, so it's not that bad. But for this to be not the best, but even good is too high for it.

No need to rant on after I already presented proof which clearly shows that it is the best.

I watched it when I was 15, so I guess my opinion might be a bit out of date. Though if of you disregard the TV-seris and only count the OVA's my fine chart is definitely correct.

Well if you first watched it more than 5 years ago. You might think it's one of the best, like I do.
It's made in 96 to 98. So you can't compare it to series that's made today.
Ok it may have those flaws you said but it doesn't change the fact that I still enjoy watching it once in a while.

As for the quality. Both AHQ and a4e are dvd rippers. So the quality depends who the encoder was and did he know what he was doing. At least a4e has some reputation to fuck things up.

At least Nartuo's started to move a bit forward. And with the new arc, or whatever it's called, starting up soon, hopefully they'll kick up the pace.

Bleach, on the other hand, is getting thinner and thinner, in my opinnion. The "teaser" in this week's episode just made me think "oh my lord, how many times has this been done now?". At least enough times to make me ponder if maybe I should just skip the next "saga", or whatever they wanna call it. I doubt I will, but the fact that it even went through my mind just makes me wonder where the show is heading.

Bleach is a nice anime up to when the first fillers jump in and ruins the day. I totally lost interest then and haven't watched any more since.. So in my opinion Bleach can't cut it with Naruto. :beer2:

Well you really dont need info on new series, subs are out when subbers want to release them, and by the time they are out you will notice. atleast if you're like me, a regular visitor of tokyotosho and 4chan.
