I found an anime called" The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". I understand that there's only one season?

There was supposed to be a second one that never came?

Before this, the only anime I could stand was GitS. I'm sure there must be something else I can enjoy, but since I don't know anything about anime, I come to you for guidance.

I can't really say what I like. I've tried many of the names I've seen here, so I do know I can't stand anything to do with swords, comparing stats/cards, shouting my DPS is bigger than yours, etc.

Maybe something like these two? I doubt there's anything exactly like GitS or this, but I'd really appreciate it if someone who knows about anime suggested some (don't have to be on TB). I waited several days to get the 17GB DVD set off a public tracker, so I don't care how long it takes, as long as I can get it.. =p

Well... There are a couple of Gits Movies to watch and stuff.
But if you want to have a GOOD time watching anime, i suggest you find Sakigake!! Cromartie Highschool, Detroit Metal City or Sexy Commando: sugoiyo! Masaru-san.

Those 3 are fucking awesome.

Also Full Metal Panic! is awesome.

First episode of Sakigake! its fucking hilarious, i love that they have a parody of Freddy Mercury in the show, he cant talk and he rides this huge fucking horse.
Sadly that first episode is in English (yuck) but if you find the show, make sure it has Japanese dub.

Hi malah. gits and haruhi are two fairly unique animes, so like you suggested, you wont really find anything quite like them. Also makes it kind of hard to recommend some for you since you've said that you dislike a lot, but havent mentioned which ones you didnt like. That said, I think I know what you are getting at, and can probably guess which ones you didnt like from your comments, so I recommend Death Note. It's an intriguing, well written story for the most part. Check out the first couple of eps, and you should know if it's a keeper after that.

Indeed. It was so lame with all the fillers but now it's starting to pick up the pace again!

Started watching Bleach now to satisfy my anime needs while waiting for next naruto ep, seems ok so far

i was looking for naruto videos on youtube and found some directed manga .. with background sounds, sometimes nimpo/jutsu sounds .. felt like watching an animated episode, and i was sucked into watching this till i finished naruto manga .. and wow was i impressed?!

from now on i might be following the manga this way instead of the lousy slow episodes and extremely boring fillers

will try some bleach manga as well later on and may be one piece as well.

Higurashi, contains lots of psychological terror, horror and gore. First season consists of question arcs and the second season is answer arcs.
