what about chrome:
Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.

Recently switched from Firefox to Chrome and I couldn't be happier. Chrome starts like 10 times faster than Firefox, and is also faster when browsing. And best part of Chrome is "porn-mode". (inkognito-mode)

I've been using Opera along with Firefox in the last couple of weeks, and although I don't see myself using anything other than Firefox as my main browser, Opera is lighter and a few of its features even made me install a couple of extensions on Firefox to emulate them: Speed Dial and Mouse Gestures are so nice, and I wish Firefox had something like Opera Link, which synchronizes much more than just bookmarks (maybe something to add to Foxmarks in the future?).

In any case, it's nice to have a secondary browser that isn't IE. Opera has many great features embedded by default, and for me it's a really good browser, but it's not as customizable as Firefox, annoys me a bit when it comes to opening tabs (can't middle-click on bookmarks, for example), and I prefer the way Firefox handles RSS feeds.

In the end, it's a matter of taste, and why some people prefer Opera is no longer surprising for me

I'm very pleased to see that Flash seems to work out of the box with Firefox on Linux now that Flash player has reached version 10. Finally I don't have to close Rhythmbox whenever I have to watch a YouTube clip.

I even got flashplayer to work with 64 bit Firefox easily in linux!

I did quite like Chrome but it installs Google Update which runs in the background all the time and is hard to get rid of and it installed in a really odd place, not where 99% of apps install .

just for the record... chrome = based on apple webkit (safari uses this as well of course)
apple webkit is based on Konqueror for linux... so you all like linux browsers

I'm using Iron, some Chromium offspring that apparently disables whatever information gathering code Google filled Chrome with. After using Chromium I can't go back really, I get annoyed when using Firefox at any other PC.

Disabling ad's through Privoxy was a hassle though, but it works. Now only if I can figure out how to get Greasemetal running under Iron..

I'm going for Firefox since today. I was in such a hurry this morning, so I had to upload files to www.me.com to access them later on my laptop.

I went on me.com and it just struggled. It said "choose files to upload", I open it, and it says it only accepts files which format is "undefined". That's just ridiculous. I downloaded firefox in a second, did same thing and worked perfectly.

So I'm on my way home now to start using firefox.

Ive been going back and forth with Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. I love the faster speeds of Opera and Chrome, but in the end I just feel so exposed without having NoScript running. If they were to develop a NoScript feature for Chrome or Opera I would use either in a heartbeat.
