norton did nothing but detect a brick that was not even true. Anything that access/alters the psp's flash memory will be a "PSP.BRICK" according to norton... more info here:

I still need help, i cant get the overflow.tif file onto my psp. everytime i open the .rar file norton quarintines it and wont let me use it...anyone help???

Once you already downgraded the firmware, you dont need the .tif file anymore.

yeah ok, its in the quarintine, how do i get the file out of there, i cant "drag and drop" and when i go replace file it doesnt go anywhere. in the quarintine there is no file location for the overflow.tif....grr
You could always disable Norton or set an exception for the file while you transfer it to your psp.

What net browsers are you guys using?
There's the wipeout one? And the Tenchi Browser?

the tenchi one doesn't have a back or forward button, but it's supposed to be faster than the wipeout one... tenchi didn't work on my psp, i always get a error when trying to start
