If TorrentBytes would have a normal bank account number you could deposit money to I would have donated much already, but I don't have a ViSA account or anything like that, and I'm not 18 years old yet either so I can't donate using the current system.
Many webstores use a normal bank account number you deposit money to, I think TB should use that system too, even 1 year old kids could donate then.

you are perfectly entitled to you opinions,
and they are perfectly understandable....
but as has been stated before, many sites already offer "Gb for $".
Now understand this... It will NOT happen here.
If you don't want to donate, that's fine...
and to be honest, no-one really cares why.
The ONLY benefit you receive by donating to the site, is the site itself!
The star isn't supposed to be a benefit... more of a feel good factor...
just a sign of recognition...
If you don't want it... that's cool too.!

Ive noticed that allot of sites who give GB when you donate also spam you with shitty messages about donating, thats annoying and makes me think the site is desperate.
This site has always been 0day only and NO credits etc for donating, that will never change (correct me if im wrong there). I think the over all user base will agree with that policy.
One thing i have suggested in the past is perhaps a choice of donation icon rather than a star you can have another symbol if you chose too. Was bombed out but i thought it may encourage a few more to donate.

Hey MaxThePuppy i agree with you that we must, yes must, donate.
As i said before this is the best Torrent site that i know and, of course, without donations is very dificult to mantain.
But my question is different if you see the poll more than 93% haven't donate yet or don't have the itention to do it. If this site itself is a previliege to everybody why only 7% of the users donates???
Do you think is correct to this 7% are treated like the others that don't care?!? I think not, but is my opinion of course. Maybe i'm to radical but the one's that don't have plans to donate probably don't cares what hapens to this site and dont't deserves to be treated like the ones that care.

Yes, I do think it's fair.
(This is a personal opinion, not necessariliy the same as that of other members of staff)
When I donate to something, a cancer charity for instance,
I don't do it as an insurance policy, just in case I get cancer in the future,
and I don't want a big badge announing that I have donated.
I do it because these people need the money to continue their work.
Most people give donations only to help.
They don't desire any form of recognition,
they don't need any reward for helping someone to do something that they are unable to do alone.
That's how it is here.
The staff cannot fund the site alone.
They rely on donations.
ALL donations are extremely welcome, even from those people who want some kind of reward.
Unfortunately for them, there is no reward, other than the continued existence of the site.
A bit like the cancer charities if you like....
If it can help you get something you want, it's done it's job.
If you don't get cancer, and the charity can't help you, the money hasn't been wasted,
It has helped other people!

It may not be as important to some people as a cancer charity,
but it's a charity nevertheless!

Comparing donating to TB and donating to a cancer charity is perfectly valid - they're both selfless donations with no expectation of return.
If you think of TB as a service, then I suppose you're not so inclined to seed
