Your memory is fails.You need to use memory dividers or some other sticks in order to reach the maximum
look my TCCD memory 100% stable at 306Mhz(DDR612) at tight timings

I ordered Revoltec Heat Spreader Gold Plated ram heatspreaders, a Zalman VF700-ALCU gfx card cooler and a second 120mm fan for my case. I was just wondering how much more boost will the gfx cooler give to overclocking? (asustek x800xl Stock is 400/980, Im running it at 410/1050)

eDIT: memory is allready at stable 2-2-2-5, just got the spreaders to maybe cool them down a bit and to make them look a bit cooler

alrite guys u g2 help me...

i have a venice core amd64 3000+ and i wana overclock it as much as i can do SAFELY without any extra heatsink...i am gonna use the stock...rite now my cpu temp is 25-30 max

i have a k8nf-9 motherboard and OCz premire series 1 GB dual channel RAM

there is specific settings in my bios for overclocking like some HT voltage shit and Core voltage and wat not

i've never overclocked a cpu in my life...so u guys can help me rite? step by step?

alrite man i overclocked my cpu from 1.8 to 2 GHz and i got an increase of 3000 3dmark 2001se points

wow that wz soo fun and scary

i oCed it to 2.2 but windows said that it wz corrupted and that scared the shit outta me....so i did it to 2.0 (223x9) and its awesome!!

I increased the HT voltage by 0.1 v and cpu frequency to 223

would probably be good to lower ur voltages just a tad down to 1.5 somthing cuase 1.6 is abit high on a 90nm processor and play with the HTT

re-read demagh's guide .. i am sure u missed a point or two there cuz u can overclock to 2.4ghz without a sweat with ur venice core, it is long i know .. but will get u through good overclocking results if u paid attention

are u using SATA hdds?! look up the FAQ in demagh's profile if u are using'em

and as rogersau said, u need to lower ur vcore a bit .. or 2 ... 1.5 is pretty good/safe/enough

ok guys i understood his guide fully now, i have a problem thou, i don't know where to turn off cool and quite, althou it says "disable smart fan" in PC Health in the bios, is that is the thing?

secondly i cannot change my RAM speed, it says in the guide that lower it to 166 right? but there is no option my my bios relating RAM speed.

here is a picture of my bios, take a look and tell me which options to play with, I want to get 2.4 GHz atleast

Do i raise the DDR voltage or something?

u got a gigabyte motherboard then u should press crtl + F1 on the main screen of the bios , some advanced options will appear

- but yeah u should up ur mem voltage +0.1, that'll help u maintain some stability/better overclocking
- cpu multiplier shouldn't be set to default - u didnt read my sticky well enough - set it to 9x
- up the ht voltage control also by +0.1
- dont know what is that turbo graphics in ur bios .. but it is irrelevant to overclocking

when u press ctrl + F1, go to the advanced settings appeared .. and take a photo for it as well so i'll tell u what to do

cool i get everything now but the biggest problem right now is that my computer is not booting up

it says that it is missing ntldr file "press blah blah to restart"
this happened when i was trying to plug my SATA hdd into one of the bottom sata ports on the mobo
lol the computer was off thou when i was doing this, i am on my other computer rite now

lol wat did i do now? :fist:

i feel like a dumbass

btw that turbo thing is for my gfx card...it raises the PCI-E bus so now i am getting 75 FPS max in games....compared to 60 fps b4

EDIT: i took the pics with ctrl+f1...kool it unlocks some stuff in the bios

edit: k i have 4 SATA ports in a straight line...should i put the harddisk in the bottom most port? so the clock ratio doesnt affect it

hi! i'm a total n00b at overclocking and i'd like to overclock my AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (~1.7 GHz). i'd like to overlock it for like 200 - 300 MHz - nothing biggie.

could you please help me out?

oh, and it would be cool if you'd help me to overclock my sucky ATI Radeon 9100 64 MB

my amd643000+ venice now runs @ 2.4 GHz

wow i got 20 000 points in 3dmark01se
b4 it wz 16 000. All games work so wicked.

Thanks to Demagh i finally Figured out how to Configure my RAm on a Gigabyte mobo...
So i just Oc'd my 3200+ Winchester to 2.45 Ghz...ratio Method.. Made ram run at 166... So now my friend on his ASUS mobo is able to Do 2.5+ With teh same Proc.... Why cant i do that... My proc fails Super Pi 2M test as well as soon as i make it 2.5 Ghz.... And My Ht link is at 3x? Will it make my pc noticibly slow???

EDIT: And i just Noticed Integer is Giving 1.6 Volts to His CPu ??? Is it safe? Because i am giving 1.55 V's

[1] there are no guaranteed limits for the overclocking results ... so ur 2.45ghz may be ur cpu limit .. or ur motherboard limit, try uping the vdimm a bit and try again +0.1 os more than enough for memory @ stock speeds.

[2] winchesters and venices do not need that much vcore, unless u got the bad revisions with lower overclockability , try lowering ur vcore a bit and see what happens

[3] lowering htt multiplier doesn't have a negative hit on performance in real world applications .. x2,x3,x4,x5 will give u exactly the same system performance/the same benchmark results .. x1 though was tried and was realized in benchmarks results .. but other than that .. didnt make much of a difference

[4] non of u guys posted his prime results/occt ... which is very important to check system stability .. cuz a restart in a game means u failed to overclock

[5] 3dmark01 is crap so dont enjoy ur results with it .. sorry to disappoint u, but it is a cruel world.

My overclock is really stable....i played need for speed underground for arnd 5 hours so means that its stable....i am gonna buy a pro heatsink for it after a week

Hi there! im running a Venice 3000+, currently at stock as you can see in the pictures below.
When i first got it, i tried some OC, but i ended up the computer didnt start at all

and so i had to press the cmos reset button :whistle:

specs not shown on pictures.
memory: Crucial 2x512mb DDR 400mhz
gpu: ATI X800GT 256mb HIS

What can i reach with air cooling on this one? I have Zalman 7700B-ALCU Cpu cooler at max speed. my temp at idle is 29C and load about 33-36C. Im not going for some extreme messures here, i wanna get it over 2,2ghz if possible.

Help and detailed but simple :smartass:

hi i have a qustion about ram i have 512mb of PC3200 ram and i thought that PC3200 works at 400mz but it says that it is 200mhz on CPU-Z counld someone tell me y ? thanks in advance ;-)

in your case:
