The one unknown about LOST is JJ he has a record about starting a series brilliantly but he has yet to proof himself for delivering follow-up seasons with the same vigar, interest and refreshing stories as the 1st season. On Amazon.com there is a review for Alias season 4 boxset and the guy makes the excellent comparison with Josh W. Buffy was interesting and fresh every season and thus reached cult status. Alias first two seasons brilliant. Third season blah, 4th season rehash of season 1 only to be redeemed by the last episodes and the finale, 5th season sofar not much difference no new fresh story line and angles yet. But I give it time.

I hope he doesn't screw up with LOST in the same way, that would be a disaster and shame. Of interest FOX poached one of the LOST writers for their show 24 and made him an executive producer. Only time will tell of how badly ABC & JJ screw up or take this show to new levels and heights.

Sofar ABC is milking this show for all they can because LOST and Desperate House Wifes are the first hits that they have had that blow away that timeslot. Season 1 they served up rehash and took the show on a hiatus. They started the same way with season two rehash plus season 2 opener. I have seen fans turn in vengance on a network and deserting it for screwing with them and serving up trash. A franshise that has a 50 million plus viewer base like Star Trek got screwed up like that.

Now, getting to the serious part, I think the trailer for the next episode is THE BEST TRAILER I HAVE EVER SEEN. I basicaly rewatched it for like 15 times either in normal way, slow play, anyway... and I still can't figure out who will be "lost"! Plus the fact that I saw Locke crying. Damn, I don't know what to think anymore.

I'm gonna join you Lost watchers, today I read too much comments over lost so I decided to give it a chanche,
grabbing the season 1 atm. Will be ready at noon.

Then if the pilot hooks me, I will spend over night watching :yawn:

Alex's kid should be nearly 16 now, The kid dragging the teddy look way too young.

Lost isn't getting worse, it hasn't changed its pace and if anything its getting way better because things are finnaly getting revealed (there where no answers in series 1), people are just getting pissed off because we're not getting all the answers and we're getting more questions, but ever so slowley its all getting peeled away and revealed!

Also we are having to wait weeks between episodes when im sure a lot of the international viewers on this site just downloaded episodes and watched them in chunks, which would give the impression that this series is slow.

From what I have seen I really doubt lost is doing an alias, it just has so much more substance...and Alias was you have to admit, a little crap in the 1st place.

What upsets me most is the "others". How come no one has spoke about them, what they are, who they are etc etc.

I know its got to be spread over episodes and stuff but damn, the original survivors were shit scared of them, and all were talking about jumping into hatches to hide, and when they meet more survivors who know about the "others" no one has yet asked about them?!? Would be the first thing I'd of asked.. Im dying to find out, obviously has something to do with the sickness thats been mentioned, and now it would seem soyer has it in the next episode but are they like walking zombies or what? and Im still hoping out for an explanation of what was pulling locke into the jungle and down into a hole in the first series. Nothing more was said about that. Was it mechanical? The others? They tried to make it supernatural with all the mist in the air and stuff like that but so far, everything is being explained with a some what rational explanation and actual facts. Loads of answers still to find out. As with most continuing series, its a damn shame I got into this so early and now have to wait for each show rather than watching them all together at the end of the screenings like I did with the first series.
Also where is the french chick anyway?

I'm sure all your questions will be answered Soul878, they can't give everything away because that would leave them nowhere to go. They'll definately reveal what all the black smoke is about and 'The Others'. What gets me is that they don't leave a trail, yet you saw them walking through the jungle taking no precautions to do such, they were just walking along (barefooted given) without a care in the world.

Why do you think this weeks episode was awesome?
The only good part of this episode was when Jin and the black dude was hiding in the bushe's, its now you get to see all the "episodes to fill the season with" then in the last 3 episodes you get to see something real awesome

i think it is now overhyped.
like many other things before
(doom 3 ? c&c 3 ? star wars the new 3 episodes etc.)

lost season 1 was just great , the cliffhanger was very cool and you wanted more of it.
than came season 2.
what a great start , the first 3 episodes were stretched to increase the tention. and it worked very well.
a lot of websites appeared and made us crazy for the next episodes.
so , we all have a very high level of expectations for the next episodes.
but , the last 2 episodes were just boring (in contrast to the last ones and the expectation level) and slowing down the series.

but , come on , lost is LOST , and not "getting boring" or something like this.
just wait for the next episodes.

it is clear that it can't go higher and higher with the tension.
there must be some episodes calming down the people.

so don't judge the series after having 27 fine epsiodes and 2 less fine episodes (i also liked them but , like i said, they were not what i expected ).

don't be so negative guys, it just a few bad episodes. it will get better.

IMO towards the end of first season the series was slowly getting more and more worse. but the beginning of season 2 proved that they still has the skill, the first 3 episodes were good/great. now only the 4th and 5th episodes has "sucked", but every episode can't be that huge you know..

Don't get me wrong I love the show and the episodes the last ones are character building episodes which is fine. My worry is about the whole season and the ones to come. On the bonus disc JJ revealed that they have a 5 year story arc so sit back and enjoy the ride, if he can pull off a Josh Wedon more power to him.
