That clip with the engine is sh*t hot, Never even twigged on that one! Well that stirs some thoughts about the black smoke...i mean, is it really going to be mechanical if it can travel at that speed with such a swoop and accuracy, because that would have to be some state of the art mechanics to be so small, appear as smoke, rip trees up, slaughter people and all the other crazy stuff. I definatly think something was mechanical when Locke was getting pulled down the hole but we never heard that noise when the smoke went past people or appeared dragging the pilot and trees out? Maybe the mechanics where down the hole, or Locke was caught on some pully system trap with the smoke helping to drag?

Just some thoughts...

P.S Is it tonight Lost is aired, kinda forgotten when its on in the US? Hopefully there isnt so much of a problem with the releases this week!

I dont know if this has been mentioned before, but did anybody else notice the dharma logo on the sharks tail? and what if the zoology, psycho-whatever facilities are ALL on the island..the video did say that the strange electro magnetism was coming from a specific part of the island, so maybe there's more facilities elsewhere, because that's the only logical way that polar bears could have gotten onto the island.

Yea the shark's tale has come up. I think the video said there was something like 6 facilities on the island? Have to agree with you on the polar bear thing, I dont think it was Walt who conjured up the Polar bear, I reckon all of those clues like the bear in the comic, the toy etc where just pre-cursers to the island...maybe a signal of fate or something?

also a man was soaked into the engine in that episode.
i think it was only a part of the broken plane that was soaked into the engine which made the explosion.
like the other stuff flying around in that episode.
it is that simple , trust me or watch the episode again.

No mate, thats THE black smoke...it comes soaring down from, like, 40ft and then scoops back up! Why would parts of the damn plane still be falling a good few minutes after the crash at that speed?

But I do wonder why the smoke does that after the guy was sucked in...it wasn't like the smoke pulled him in...it just kinda blew it up?
