October 4, 2005 -- FANS of the hit drama "Lost" are buzzing about the sharp, new change in direction that the series took last week with the appearance of a mysterious logo.

The logo � an octagon with the word "Dharma" in the center � appeared first on a wall inside the mysterious hatch finally breached by the series' stars.

It was glimpsed again later in the episode on the uniform worn by Desmond, who lives in the hatch and � weirdest of all � imbedded onto the tail of a monstrous shark, something sharp-eyed fans discovered only by freeze-framing through replays...

The fact that it said Quarantine INSIDE the hatch, and not outside, and there was no way to get it in from the outside; the fact that the survivors were having hallucinations, the fact about the shark, desmond, (DHARMA), specially the Sharks around the Island (to not let anybody in or out), as well as the "pirates".

The "others" looked "indigenous", not ethnically, but how they acted, a little barbaric.

Quarantine. I think that says a lot.

This thread is too long to read through so I hope this hasn't been said but just after Desmond says goodbye to Jack at the stadium he says, "see you in another life brother". To me that sounds like a hint. Maybe they are all dead like many people guess ;-)

I heard that the writers had at least 5 seasons planned out..but I'm not certain about that either

5 seasons.....gaah. the quality of the story would go down bigtime. It already feels like they add things into every episode to make it longer....

Ye, sometimes its better to have fewer seasons of high quality rather than a ton of streched out storyline over lots of epesodes.

Anyway, anyone know when S2E03 is out?

s02e03 is out today as far as i know, at least it had better be, I cant wait another week. Awesome series - hope they last out for 5 seasons.

edit : episodes 3 is airing today :-D

They do seem to be feeling like that.

2 seasons will be enough otherwise it will end up like the Xfiles. Too many twists to follow and how much can happen on an Island?

They will have as many seasons as they can squeeze out of the show no matter how silly the plot becomes.

JJ Abrams said it is a 5 season story arc. They also said that they will not drag it out like the 9 seasons of X-Files. Having said that I love a good story and good story tellers like JMS and JJ are far and few in between. So I am sitting back and enjoy the ride.

Add to this TV is the media for developing characters and stories and the quality of TV programming is improving because imagine 18 hours for 24 episodes where but on TV can you do this. Stephen Spielberg said when asked regarding the program Taken that it only could be told via TV. So these story writers need the time to develop characters plots and anticipation.

it is air at 8pm(?) in US, means 2 in the morning in Europe, s� it will probably be uploaded erly tomorrow morning(european time)
