oh my god, i just realised, on my 4th birthday i was 4, on my 8th i was 8, on my 15th i was 15! :-O

and on my 16th i'll be 16, and 23rd birthday, i'll be 23, and on my 42nd birthday i will be 42!!!

i'm glad you apologised

anyway, the theories were about it being some kind of mind reading device (as it showed flashes of Mr. Eko's life)

also there were talks about it being some kind of nano technology stuff that has been invented and it floats around (as aposed to it just being smoke floating) because it's obviously controlled, and smoke just drifts off, this theory also had something to do with the big magnet inside the first hatch they opened.
