Someone requested that a tutorial about this should be written so that people would stop asking the same questions all over again. The reason some releases come with an .MP3 and a .CUE file is mainly because there's supposed to be no gap between the tracks on some CDs (mostly on compilation albums like Greatest Hits and similar), and the only way to achieve this is by using a .CUE file.
Once you've downloaded the .RAR archive, open it and extract all the files to any folder, no need for any "real" installation.
Step 2: Configuring the settings
Once you've unpacked the files, open Cue Splitter. On top there are 3 fields, the first is the path to BeSplit which should be automatically specified. In the second field, browse for the .CUE file you want to extract the MP3s from, and in the third field, specify the folder you want to save the extracted files in.
Below those fields there are 5 checkboxes. They are pretty self-explanatory so check the ones you want to, they mostly have to do with the naming of the files.
Below the checkboxes you can fill in the album name, comment, year and genre. This information will only be applied to the ID3v1 tag if the information is absent in the .CUE file.
Step 3: Pressing Split!
Now all you have to do is press the Split! button. The process is very fast, it takes less than 10 seconds, so there's pretty much nothing to complain about. I've tested this method and it works.
Note: If the .CUE file is screwed up the process won't work.
Testrelease: Asta_Kask-Live_at_Hultsfredsfestivalen_(19.06.2004)-Bootleg-2004-FFaCC Another note: Please do not post alternative methods of doing this, it's totally unnecessary.

Okay maybe software players are capable of playing them without stopping, but atleast if you burn the songs to a CD there will be a stop except if all the tracks come from one file and just have track break points inserted. It's like DVD chapters, it's a part of a big file and there's no gap between them.
