If you ask me, I find that the BETA of Vista was more stable than current XP with any service pack version.

Some programmer guy said: if its not broken do not fix it.

so i will not change until it proven stable and when new game will not work on xp.

I don't think I like the DRM idea at all.
No more spending my $$ on Bill Gates stuff.

#324724 by unknown[809] at 2005-08-02 06:53:52 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Not a chance. XP is more then stable for me.

#324726 by fr3aKyDonor (Power User) at 2005-08-02 06:59:45 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

When a proper version comes out i sure will try it, sticking with it is another question, due
to the massive hardware requirements. We'll see.

I'm switching to OS X in a couple of days

#324816 by unknown[306] at 2005-08-02 09:12:50 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Yes, I will do a complete switch. I found the beta to be quite stable a didn't have too many problms with it.

#324838 by unknown[71075] at 2005-08-02 09:41:26 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Will test it on my second pc. This pc is Linux exclusive
Even though i find it very resource-eating, i will try it. Because as soon as it released, i bet Billy will make any new app/game/wtf need WinVista.

#324850 by unknown[91892] at 2005-08-02 09:57:04 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Well, I'm at least gonna test it

Thinking of switching to Linux, I've had it with windows... Tons of bloatware, insecure system, plus I've spent good money on 3 licenses and only 1 is still working properly

#324975 by unknown[103608] at 2005-08-02 11:46:24 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Ill give it ago whens its released.

I like windows and for me it only crashs when I try to do something that I know my hardware cant handle.

This is why Linux's version system is so much better - There's never a new 'version' of Linux, it just gets incrementally better, and you can upgrade at any point, as often as you like, and it's always the same OS.

Windows Vista deltetes non-DRM files, In other words it wipes your MP3 folder =/

#325255 by unknown[10054] at 2005-08-02 15:38:05 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

What is that DRM? In brief words?

Anyone knows how long does it take for final version to land? This piece of shit XP is getting worse everyday so I might install that one next.

Wouldn't it be smarter to build the computer yourself? Then you could pick the best components for the money and you wouldn't need to pay the microsoft tax.

Am I the only one who misread OS/X as OS/2?  I was so about to vote for that as the comedy option since I really don't care, but I'll probably upgrade anyway since it'll be here on TB like a week before it's in stores.
