theres an option to store people ips for quick reconnect - this should not be selected. Not directly involved in DHT, but coincides with security.. I don't want others storing my ip :-/

@ naresh: all what  extra?
@ Bob: I was just about to copy and paste the same thing. I wonder though, it says to:

which doesn't coincide with what this tutorial says.... so which do we follow?? ;-)

I helped a user on irc a while back on configuring Azureus and removeing DHT and all that extra that was not needed.

Will try to get a step by step tutorial up in the next week or so.

The following is a guide from another site, i wont mention the site or the person who made the guide but they done a superb job IMO and its what i use when azureus re-sets itself ( has a habit of doing that time to time).  I thought i best mention its a copy and paste job before the TB BItches start with there pathetic chants.

You should disable the following options (Tools-Options):
Connection
- Networks --> everything except public IP network - else it wont let you connect to a tracker like TorrentBytes
- Peer Sources --> everything From a tracker
Files
- Save peer connections for quick reconnect --> disable it
Plugins
- if Tracker Web is installed then uninstall it with the Uninstallation Wizard: IRC, Tracker Dynmic Pages, Tracker Static Pages
- Distributed DB - Enable the distributed DB --> disable it
- Distributed Tracker - Only track normal torrents when tracker is unavailable --> disable it
Tracker
- Server -->disable everything
Sharing
- Protocoll for shared ressources --> HTTP
- Private Torrent... --> ENABLE THIS!
- leave the others unchecked

In basic terms in lets one client download from another client without the need for a tracker/site ;-)
