Looks like the producers are going to makeup for killing off Dr. Beckett is such a lame ass way and bring him back for a few episodes. Also Teal'c will be joining SG:Canada, but it doesnt say if he will be a regular or just a guest star. The very bad news is Dr Canada ... er.. I mean Wier is also coming back for a few episodes.

Dr. Beckett Is in on 'Stargate: Atlantis'

In the Season 3 episode titled "Sunday," Beckett had unsuccessfully tried to dispose of an explosive tumor he had removed from a patient.

When the fans vehemently protested his undignified death, the producers reconsidered their action and figured out a way to bring him back in the flesh, and not as a flashback or a Beckett from the past or an alternate universe. According to executive producer Joe Mallozzi, a late Season 3 episode offers a "clue" about Beckett.

Besides the doctor, fans can also expect the return of characters Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torri Higginson) and Teal'c (Christopher Judge, "Stargate SG-1" ). The network had previously announced that "SG-1's" Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) and Dr. Keller (Jewel Staite, "Serenity" ) will join the cast for the fourth season, in which the Pegasus denizens will encounter a new race.

Season 4 will premiere on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

I just can't stand Rodney McKay (David Hewlett). He's even more annoying than Neelix in ST: Voyager. Much because of him, but some other reasons too, I dont like SG: Atlantis. I think SG-1 is superior in every way, even the later seasons.

I happily disagree, imho, he's one of the few actors who actually ACT on that show. The performance of the rest of the cast is mostly subpar.

I guess that I also had hard time to accept Atlantis, as I was longtime SG-1 fan. But its just my personal taste.

He can act no doubt about it but the character is intentionally annoying. Personally I think he's one of the more interesting ones. Teyla might be gorgeous but she's a bore and I honestly do no see the point of Ronon, he's truly one of the worst characters I've seen in any show.

if they were smart they would just go in and replace Teyla and Ronon with Carter and Teal'c

Agreed that Teyla is poorly acted and by far the most boring character in all atlantis. Ronan is an okay character but he as well is poorly acted. Also Dr Weir aint even in the same league as for e.g. general Hammond, and thank god that she wont be as big a deal in season 4.

But McKay?! He's one of the most important guys in SG Atlantis succees! And although I love that Carter will appear in several episodes in season 4, I'm afraid she wont fit in with the others.

btw, anyone know when the season premieres? Still set for the end of sept?

I like Ronin. I think hes just the sorta "ass-kicker" that show needed.

Kill off Teyla in a big wraith confrontation. Snore alarm every time she talks.

Bring back Carson 24/7. One of the best characters ever. But keep the firefly mechanic as the secondary doc. (Maybe as another field medic and carson can stay home?)

I like McKay - hes something that no other sci-fi show has ever had - a truly realistic scientist - I work with scientists (hell - I am one) and they are all self-absorbed know-it-alls. (including me). McKay is evolving, just like any person would, as has grown from the annoying prick into a quasi-hero. And he is one of the best actors in the show, and his relationship with the Doc cracks me up.

Bring back RDA as SGA TeamLeader.

Carter is kinda boring now. (Didn't use to be).

Teal'c for SGA bash-brothers team. (Him+Ronin = Ouch)

Dr. Weir (Dr. Canada to you canuck haters out there) is not representative of Canadian actors. I resent the implication. However, I have to agree that, she, as well, must die.

For those who see McKay as annoying, that is the character/role being played. Step back from your annoyance at him and look at the bigger scene/episode and what his attributes both good and bad bring to the table. His acting is probably the best on the show. Add to that the character development we witness have/are witnessing in him. He's constantly evolving most of the other characters are stagnate and play the same boring roles time after time. McKay's always throwing curve balls!

Is it a 100% sure that s04e01 will air the 28th?! My poor boy-heart has been broken by this kinda thing before..

edit: allright, since the promos says 28th, I'll have to believe it's true. yay!

Both episodes didn't air yet. Atlantis starts at the end of this month. Search for Stargate Atlantis on public trackers - you will find both eps 01 and 02 being released as some kind of prerelease without music and special effect sounds.
The real TV encodes will follow when it's aired.

Already have those mate.. but thanks for the reply. I was holding out on watching them as I got 2 minutes into it and then the missing sounds annoyed me .
