that episode sucked total bawls.

when the green guy went "were giving u r weapons" (or something like that)

i was like !!!! they gunna go pwnd the shit out of all the old farts going "hollo of the ori".

but then i was highly disapointed.

they could of at least done an ending like that 1 where they had a big ass battle at the end of the season.

tbh i think this season was abit dog shite, was good when they went in that cave thing with the dragon. but that was about it

cant believe iv watched 10 seasons of a tv show and now i think the last episode of it was rubbish

oh well... will still watch the 2 up coming movies.

/me thinks they made it shit so they wont have people dying for wanting more.

/me goes off to watch farscape and fall asleep

Best episode in a looong time. OH SHIT? THAT WAS THE LAST EPISODE? Shit That sucks!
If it was the last ep, well then not so good, but still best of the season...

Yeah, too bad the previous episodes weren't as good. Acting and story was much much better on this one - reminds me of star trek TNG.

Long live Stargate and long live SG-1.

Cant wait for the movies, they obviously kept the good stuff for that.
I liked this episode but also agreee that they could have done it better.

Soooo sad. sooooooooo fked up. no more SG-1

Really hope those DVD-movies r popular and they make more of them. that would be cool

Long live Stargate & Sg-1

Best Sci-Fi show came to an end.

Too bad SGA wasn't canned and SG1 continued.

I sure will miss it.

No, its good they cancelled it, I mean 10 seasons is a looooong time for a scifi show like stargate.
Atlantis is still fresh. They plan on brining another Stargate show. so its all good.. maybe well even see some old SG-1 characters in it. And if those movies are succesfull I hope they bring us some more

Everyone will miss SG-1 without a doubt... but how long could they have continue'd without the fans getting bored of the storylines? weve seen it all in sg-1, no need to extend the show ;x

Today is a sad day for sure.

Although they have said they are going to make two dvd movies, I still found the last episode a tad lacking. Killing off the asgaard just to make the episode work kind of felt like a mistake...

I was thinking the same thing. :-/
I think it must be down to limitations in the hardware... That's the only way they could explain it I guess.

@everyone who is says it's not like a season ender:
It's because they wanted it to just be another episode, of course there was the nice music and a lot of talk like it was the end but the truth is everything is gonna be concluded in the movies.

According to Amanda Tapping, Jack will be in the second movie. While It isnt comming from one of the head writers, Id say Shes a pretty reliable source. And besides, it does make sense considering the second movie will be about time travel. She also said there were gonna be lots of familliar faces in this one, so id expect lots of old guest stars and such. The way I see it it is gonna be a final goodbye to all the characters from the show.

If Im not misstaken the first movie will start shooting sometime in april, the second on june first.
There are also rumors of a third show which I have a hard time beliving tbh, what would they do that they havent already done before?

Man.... Im a way bigger SG nerd than I thought

Was a good episode, but not a great final episode. That said at least they used the final to introduce all that new tech which will find its way over to SG:Canada, but its was sort of weak to have to kill off the asgard to do so.

#793317 by Shiver (Power User) at 2007-03-15 16:01:54 (6 years ago) - [Report]Top

Why didn't they simply fix their shield while in time dilation, come out of it, let the shield take the beating and speed away? Not to mention why they didn't simply blow to bits when Teal'c stopped Carter from activating the time dilation device "again"? I thought the energy beam was supposed to be less than a second away.

Carter said that she could buy them an extra minute/few seconds when they go back in time.

It was a good SG1 episode, but like others have said, not really good enough as a series ender. And that's exactly what they wanted to achieve.

The episode was named "unending"... though its the end of season 10 and probably the end of SG1 series, SG is certainly not ended. There are 2 upcoming movies, especially after seeing this last episode, people want to see the "real" end and that's in one of the movies. "Want to kick some Ori ass? Epic battles? Go watch the movie!"

The episode itself is disappointing on several lvl's.
It felt like a filler episode, they wiped out the asguard and well... geez, I still can't believe what they did to poor Teal'C. He'll never be the same again. He lived a lifetime as a Jaffa.. spent 10 years in the SG1 series... and now in the last episode spent another lifetime seeing SG1 grow old.

Also some things felt old. Like the first part where they go into hyperspace, drop out and then Ori pops up. It's very similar to BSG 31 minutes. (I was looking at Landry waiting for him to say "JUMP" ... just to remind myself that he's not Adama.) IMO, the chase was done a lot better in BSG.

Also the aging.. several characters in the SG world have had a storyline in which they aged a lot.
Jack had one in the earlier seasons... Weir lived for 10.000 years waiting to see herself again. I'm pretty sure there are more instances of this aging thing. Watching it, you'd already know that it ends with them going back to normal again.

btw can anyone tell me why the Asguard didnt attack the Ori ? I must have missed it somehow?
While the Ori were destroying our galaxy,  the asgard were working on their own self-destruct? That's just.. not right... foolish thing to do for a race that is claimed to be superior to humans in several ways.
They could have at least nuked away all the Ori before doing that. And also, why did the Ori chase the humans the moment they got upgrades, and not the Asgards earlier?

Thx. that is some nice info =)
About what they would do that they havent done before, have you forgoten about the ferlings?
i bet the next SG series will be named SGF (for Stargate Ferlings).... or not. =)

but seriously, there are lots of diffrent ailien cultures that havent been explored yet.

They already aired! I think April 13th refers to the US air date.

As far as I can see that's out dated as it only lists up to 10x10 in the episode list, the final 10 episodes it's referring to are the already released 11-20.

Edit: Ah yes, I forgot it was being released in the UK and hadn't bean released in America-land yet.

Good bye, Stargate!

Despite many episodes being crap, despite losing Jack, despite the last couple of seasons being mostly rushed fillers that didn't measure up to the first ones, despite the last SG1 episode ever being not bad, but not great either, I'm sitting here, listening to Have You Ever Seen The Rain from Creedence Clearwater Revival, the song from e20, and I'm sad it all had to end.
