got a weird question -

I want to start watching Stargate, wich i think some of u know, but, i downloaded ...

Stargate.Atlantis.S02E14.HDTV.XviD-TvD
Stargate.Atlantis.S02E15.HDTV.XviD-TvD
Stargate.Atlantis.S02E16.HDTV.XviD-TvD
from Torrentbytes, so i guessed i could just start watching from 14, wich means i only missed 13 episodes.
THen suddenly i find Stargate.SG-1.S09E11.WS.DSR.XviD-LOL wich kinda made me confused, is this different series? or are TorrentBytes uploading serie 2 and 9 for ppl?

And Battlestar.Galactica.S02E11.WS.DSR.XviD-LOKi - i thought this guys have bein making episodes for 8 years or so :S and they have only made 11 episodes, hmm!

im very confused hehe

ah thanks fixuis, guess ill just continue with Stargate.Atlantis S2

Stargate.Atlantis.S02E14.HDTV.XviD-TvD is so GOOD, the ship sinks and stuff, and the acter in the sinking ship was so damn good, he realy showed us how it would be if we our selfs was down there, he did to me tho.
Its the first episode i have wanted to watch twice :p

So wich one is best? The new st or the Stargate.SG ?

I can say that both episodes of SG/SGA got me hooked up again, well, maybe SG1 just a bit less, 'cause I'm not really a fan of the new season, but it's good to have all the shows (BSG included) back, and I really liked e11 and e16. Can't wait for e17!

i watches both versions, i got to edmit the orginal sucks, bad acters, they play HERO kinda thing, no humans talk like that, but if u watch the other version, the new one, the acters are amazing good, like episode 14, the sinking ship, the man in the ship is one hell of an acter, should have him in the orginal serie!

I was wondering if anyone got the first season of eighter atlantis or SG-1 because i really wanna watch stargate, however i dont wanna start in the middle of a serie...
If ive broken any rules by requesting some old stuff im sorry, however i couldnt find anything about it in the rules

McKay is the strongest character in the show, without him SGA would be a lot worse. I hope he will meet Sam for real in season 3 (season 10 of SG-1)

if he gets written out, i will kill the writer, hes the best acter they have, maybe u havent noticed couse ur used to the "lame/bad" acting from stargate acters, but hes real, he does not talk as if he were reading something for us. Realy it would suck if he got written or quited the show. But thats my meanings.

Actually I don't think he's that good an actor. (Almost) anyone could play those hysterical scenes. This ain't Shakespeare.

Also I think he really shouldn't be such an ass. He whines _way_ too much. Take Daniel from SG1, sure, he was a similiar scientist type and a brains guy of the original team, much as McKay is in SGA, sure, he was whiney and bitchy, but not as much as McKay. He could use a little more believabilty (is that even a word?) and a little less of those stupid things I mentioned. But again, he shouldn't lose a lot of those, so that he doesn't become an uninteresting character.

the sunken ship ep was one of the worst in SGA history just because mckay is a character that I find annoing and that is his part but just a litte less volume on the guy and he would be barable

since children of the gods, takeing up a good 70 gig on my hhd but its well worth the watch to any one out there who haasnt seen it

I have all the episodes on dvd (burned em), but I'm thinking of buying all the original dvd's. It's like 30 EUR per season right now so thats not too bad right?

I might just buy a season each month or so

I have Box Sets of first 7 seasons of SG-1, Box Set with S8 will be soon released in R2, as well as SGA S1, I don't buy seperate Vols, that's a waste of money

Vala will return in SG-1 S09E19-20 and then she will be in the whole season 10

honestly, up till now season 9 hasnt been as good as previous seasons, but theirs a new chemistry which isnt terrible and i think its returning a bit now. Claudia black i felt made a great addition to the team, cos i feel its not sg-1 unless theres a little comedy and she brought it. Plus she worked REALLY well with michael shanks. I own all episodes of sg-1, yes i bought them

and recently watched them all in a marathon. The funniest moment in the entire series is in the Ascension episode. Jack and Teal'c have just gone over to carters to see if she was ok after what they believed to be some kind of halucenation. Their on the way back to the van when

Jack: So teal'c what's next
Teal'c: I have heard stories of humans that fight ina ring composed of jello
Jack: Call Daniel!

Second best is

General Hammond: I dont have to tell you teal'c we were all holding our breathe down here
Teal'c: That is MOST unwise!

and Third

Jonas: I think us people not from earth should stick together
Teal'c: Are you suggesting an alien conspiracy!

I Was in stiches!

As for atlantis, season 1 was fantastic, there was real life in the show, every episode quality, all the characters were excellent, including Mckay. Season 2, has definatly lost some momentum, maybe its just me but without the wraith armada on its way, doesnt seem to be as quick, which i feel was definatly one of the better attributes of the show. Looking at gateworld the next and final 4 episodes of these season im hoping will re-vitalise some of that momentum, heading into a new 3rd season.

PS Cant wait for claudia to come back !

Guys guys guys....

McKay is SUPPOSED to be annoying. The WHOLE POINT of having his character on SGA is to show his growth. Hasn't anyone else noticed he's taken MAJOR steps towards being a more useful member of the Atlantis society? Not only has he started getting in on the fight scenes (he is part of the counter-strike style RAID on the enemy base in the latest episode) but hes starting to be protective of the weaker SGA base members and also more gentle with his scathing remarks to other people - he lashes out with sarcasm against SGA people a lot less. And - hes buildin some social skills with the ladies. sorta.

Having a "Growth" character adds depth to a series that would otherwise just be another rehash of SG1. Think of Data on Star Trek: Next Gen. - from the first episode onwards he grows as a person. Check him out in Star Trek: Generations or Star Trek: First Contact (and even the horrible, but memorable Nemesis) - hes totally different. He's gained conviction, personality and even humor.

As to all the chat of him(Mckay) being an excellent actor or a horrible actor... I'm not sure. He is good. Sheperd is sorta like a wet towel, McKay is at least believable. But is he spectacular? No. Hes not even exceptional. But he could be. He could turn out to be another Daniel Jackson type character with some work. Imo SGA as a TV show is sorta doomed unless Sheperd stops mimicing O'neall and starts building his own style. And Wier is definately not as good as Hammond as an authority figure.

And yes, I agree... Vala is fucking annoying. I hope the Auri fucking warp her into a Kerrigan-like creation(see: StarCraft). McKay gets more and more bearable as he settles down.

Does anyone else feel Richard Dean Anderson was the beating heart of Sg1? And the abomination that is the current SG1 is struggling for air... waiting for the true leader to come back....I hope RDA comes back in a glorious asswhopping for the Priors where he saves everyone and finally tells Carter how he feels....yeah that'd be nice...mmm.......

Anyways, thats my two cents,

P.S. Every SG fan should have the complete set of SG1 episodes... I have the pirated DVDs of all 8 seasons...there are some exceptional ones in the earlier seasons (and even season 8). I'm still waiting for 9 to pickup a bit.

Well I can agree with that character growth thing, doesn't make him any less annoying, even if he is supposed to, though. But as I said earlier, I can cope with his behaviour, as it sorta fits there etc., my problem is that he is or was too much annoying, almost unbelievably so, but in the end I've got to agree that he gets more and more OK with every episode.

And I absolutely agree with the Weir and Sheppard stuff, I think both Sheppard and whatshisname in SG1 try to be as much O'Neill-esque as possible, and while it is not terrible and provides a laugh or two, O'Neill was simply... well, O'Neill. They should seriously get their own style, both of them. Or they should kill that SG1 fellow and bring RDA back, well, wishful thinking

There ain't really much more to say about Weir. Her character is, um, weird, pun intended. She's way too much of a 'good mother' of the Atlantis team than their leader or a major figure. And somehow I get the feeling she doesn't contribute anything to the show, both as an actor as well as a character (she was a diplomat I believe? hello? diplomacy? hi, wraiths? another new galaxy with a gazillion of new scientific possibilities where diplomacy ain't quite what people need? uh-oh I say).

And I really hate the deus ex machina effect of the Ori in s09 of SG1 - hey, we defeated the major foe of 8 series, yay! Let's find a completely new and never before mentioned enemy who is so fracking powerful that the goauld are nothing when compared to them! That really makes sense and we can shoot another one or two series, yay yay! SGA beats SG1 nowadays. But nothing beats BSG, ha!

I agree that the flagship character is oneil but in all things .. they change.. so who do they get but good old Ben.. Come on .. I think its a perfect fit.. I love the whole thing bout being trained in the ways of the sodan. .. kick some ass.. booya..
