looks fine to be honest, i was expecting something awful when it came to the cgi, but it just looked like normal... maybe a few touch-ups needed here and there but perfectly fine and watchable.

within the first 5 minutes you can see a greenscreen in the background...

This is too tense, I'm gonna have to watch 'em. :-|

Edit:
"Sorry, I'm Canadian", God that must've been embarrassing to say.

Episode 20 was good but not as good as you guys made out. And I don't like the fact that life and death seem meaningless on this show, Ronan being dead (as sad as it was) should have meant he stayed dead.

Regarding the VFX, there were a few scenes with "Temp VFX" written and you could tell that the quality wasn't great but it still told the story exactly as it should have. Also I didn't even notice that green screen SaSkuAtch mentioned.

I just watched the last two episodes and I was pleased with the ending of the show. Just have to wait for Universe now.

Is there any chance Season 8 of SG1 could be re-uploaded? I want to watch SG1 again.

If i remember correctly season 8 was never uploaded here, i remember getting it from some other site anyway. As tb doesnt fill requests you'll have to do the same thing

Oh, I see. Well, I found it on a public tracker anyways. Will take forever, but I won't start in the 8th season anyways.

Isn't there an Atlantis movie coming also?

It seems theres missing some graphic scenes though. Like
when Atlantis got two ZPM's to fly to earth and stops way before the goal,  they don't actually show how they manage to get it working again. They're just there in the next scene

I think that's just how it's going to be to be honest. I thought it was pretty stoopid.

Was there anything new about e19 compared to the preair version?

#1069394 by DrevoKocour (Power User) at 2009-01-03 12:31:36 (4 years ago) - [Report]Top

Also have you guys seen EN subs for the 19+20 eps anywhere? I tried the usual suspects like subscene but no luck. I then realized maybe the subbers don't want to make subs for a preair version. And come to think of it the ep was released today so I guess it's to be expected the subs ain't ready yet for normal version, maybe.

No matter. I have to confess I'm a bit sad at Atlantis ending. I know I said a few pages back that with the show going really downhill lately it's going to be a good thing. But, well, you know. Maybe it would have been better in a new season. Or two. Or five. I liked to get my scifi fix every Saturday. And SGA was pretty good at that.

edit: Oh and I liked 19. Wish more episodes were like that. Sure it only had little to do with the main storyline. So yeah you could call it a filler. But give me a somewhat original, different, fresh and fun filler over a yet another episode of unwashed villagers/disease/wraith/one-off piece of technology or whatever.

I didn't think of much either in the beginning, but as the show went on, i became to like it just the same as i liked SG1, i wouldn't even call it so. I would call them both just "stargate"

The sole redeeming thing of this episode was 'Sympathy For The Devil' and the Soprano guys.

And so, the series came to an end. It wasn't as epic as I'd hoped, but it'll do.

The stakes should have been BIGGER. It should have been the fate of the galaxy at play, not just Earth.

Nah thats SG1-steaks, not Atlantis. They're not important enough to put the galaxy in danger.

Can't blame him, he did spend over half a century stuck in a ship.
