Who says they can't have the lights on? It's "all" equiptment they can't have on at once.

Its a bit of a joke actually, they always complain of having low power levels, yet everytime you see the city the whole thing is lit up like a xmas tree. Atlantis is huuuge, but theres only maybe 200-300 ppl from earth there, they couldnt possibly be using all that lighting, all those rooms, then Teyla bumping into mckay and shep, what are the odds on THAT lol, one pier on that ship is a small town!

maybe the ancients tried to be energy efficient, and stuff like lighting etc ran off auxiliary power systems like solar, tidal, etc

the lighting in the city runs of the 5 Naqadah generators the brought from earth, this is explained in the very first episodes.

Ah Naquadah
Isn't it funny how we completely have forgotten about these trademarks from the original SG1 show? Something which played huge importance there is never even mentioned anymore in Atlantis.

And isn't it a fact that earth now has three ships? Or two at the least, cause I remember the russian one being destroyed.

They have the prometheus, deadalus and that other one that captain apollo is piloting., atleast that we know of.

And yea, those naqadah sure seemed to disappear fast.

Prometheus was destroyed in season 9 of SG-1. They have 3 ships: Odyssey, Daedalus, Apollo. There is also a possible fourth ship in construction, the Phoenix. You don't hear about the naquadah reactors alot, but you see them alot.

i think last ep was quite good, even surprising

No this episode sucked. If this was SG1, we would have got to see them planting the device on the real destination, and the species being reborn, and becoming a new alliance to atlantis.

But since this is not SG1, all we get is some hallusinations, and a much outdated look at the scenery of Atlantis.

Ugh I hate those eps with dreams/hallucinations... but this one was well done I must say... did immediately figure out that it was fake when Kolyua cut off Sheps hand... that never gonna happen for real

4 eps to go.. then onto SG:U(wich im already looking forward to!)

I thought I was watching BSG for a bit there, they need to put this show out of its misery

BSG is amazing what are you talking about

Now I thought I would never - well alright, not never but at least in a few years' time - say this but I think I agree with putting the show out of its misery. I really, really enjoyed Atlantis. I was wary at first, didn't know what to think of a show which only seemed like a restart with not much innovation or change.

But slowly I really started to enjoy it, and when the first info about it being cancelled after this season came up, I admit I was very disappointed. Not anymore, as since it feels as if the writers' have done everything possible in convincing people like me the show really deserves to end soon. With few exceptions.

The worst thing is I'm getting this feeling with Heroes and BSG as well. Not so much with the former, although the first episodes of the new series were very confusing. And not in a good way. But the latter I fear has already crossed the line somewhere during or maybe a short time after its second season.

Which sucks a lot, as then there aren't going to be any good scifi shows to look forward to. SG: Universe? Please. I don't want to write it off completely before I see it, and I am fairly sure I will watch it, but it just doesn't appeal to me. Caprica? Gay, next. Old shows? Are old. Someone better do something, heh!

I'm still loving this show.

The characters are what keeps me watching it and the stories are still reasonable for a series which is about to end.  I'm really going to miss McKay and Sheppard the most.

looks like they planed out future for McKay in last ep. or at least a hint
