I just saw the most wickedest thing ever.
When i got to school today and got introduced to my classmates, one of the pretty gals looked like FRAN, it was uncanny, as if i was looking at a 17yr old version of FRAN.
Not that im complaining though.

Anyway, there is no delay in this weeks episode right?

SCI FI will have the exclusive worldwide television premiere of the yet to be titled Stargate Atlantis film, which will then be released on DVD by MGM. The movie will be written by Stargate Atlantis' executive producers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, who also serve as series showrunners. The movie is set to follow the fifth and final season of Stargate Atlantis, as it draws to its thrilling conclusion in January 2009.

"We're excited to tell Atlantis stories on a bigger canvas. The successes of the two original Stargate DTV movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum have shown us the opportunities that the movie format offers. We have plans for both SG-1 and Atlantis to remain vital as we expand the franchise," said Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, co-creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis and who both currently serve as executive producers on Atlantis.

Stargate Atlantis follows the adventures of an intrepid team of military and civilian explorers who travel the distant Pegasus galaxy by means of a Stargate, a portal created long ago by a highly advanced alien civilization called the Ancients. In their never-ending quest to seek out other technologies left behind by the Ancients, the Atlantis team encounters alien cultures -- some friend, some foe.

The series will reach a milestone with the 100th episode airing in January 2009. Atlantis is executive produced by Brad Wright, Robert C. Cooper, Joseph Mallozzi, Paul Mullie, Carl Binder, and Martin Gero. Mallozzi and Mullie share the reins as showrunners.

The producers are ending BSG, not SciFi. Only thing left when SG:A and BSG is gone is Eureka. Hopefully Capria will be good, but probably not Oh well, I will wait for Stargate: Universe

Sorry man but I think that Stargate Atlantis has gotten worse every season. They don't have the same purpose that Stargate SG-1 did, and it just feels like every episode is a filler.

What I think they should focus are the personal relationships between the team (as SG-1 did).

yea atlantis hasnt been great this season and now I know that theyre cancelling it I dont even care what kind of story they come up with, seriously and those movies im not waiting on at all, they gonna suck just like the 2 sg-1 movies, extended episodes NOT ftw.... :S

space shows I love so much and after atlantis we dont have mmuch. I mean nothing at all!

also sg-universe or however they call the 3rd show(wich I think will never ever happen...) if they cancel a show like atlantis they wont go for another of the same right? and besides I dont wanna get my hopes up with a 3rd show cuz they will cancel it anyway, whoever is responsible for this cancellation can die right now please, thank you....

It was the Sci-Fi channel's dithering that forced the producer's hand. Basically the show was critically acclaimed and they were working out how best to milk it, leaving everyone working on the show wondering when the show was coming back, how many episodes and seasons it would have, how long they would be employed...

yea and MGM for that matter they see the 2 sg-1 movies made them alot of money, and they prolly didnt have to spend as much so they gonna try and make as much money as possible now they got 100 episodes and dvd sales etc, fuggers

producers are not ending bsg, scifi did not agree to tell the producers how many seasons they would order in the future, and rather than do season 4 then get cancelled and leave all the fans hanging and have to end the show with sloppy shitty mini movies the producers decided to call season 4 the final in order to finish as best as they could the story in 24 episodes, rather than these stupid movies sg1 and atlantis are going to have.

so how many real scifi shows does scifi actually have now? I mean they cancelled farscape, enterprise, sg1, bsg and atlantis. I think eureka is the only decent one left? can't count garbage like flash gordon

I'd Eureka is going down hill. First season was excellent! so far season 2 has been sub-par entertainment.

back onto SG...

I think that SGA's story has been done to death... what SG needs is a new fresh start, hopefully universe will provide although i'm doubtful
