Bunch of games are coming out around the 20th of October such as the new splinter cell that I can't wait to play.

My apologies if this question has already been asked, but is it possible yet to play the XboX360 games that have been uploaded here? Is there a chip yet that allows it?

yep you sure can play them. but you will have to open the xbox360 to flash the firmware, thus making your Warranty void! and could get a ban from Xbox live.. in the future (for now its ok) but you get to play games for free! as for the chips out there, they dont do anything more then Firmware Hack. but theres links all over for them.

never been down here before so you ve got a newbie question coming up :-D

my sons ps2 has recently had the flip lid installed an got a copy of swap magic 3.6 now after a few trial an errors on the burning and just found out about zoneloader

can i play the usa versions or just PAL (oh yeah i live in the uk)

yes NTSC games work. just check your TV has NTSC playback, if it dont you will be playing the NTSC games in Black & wite

but other then that. yep they work fine.

Not all only the games that Microsoft has released the patch for the game to be backwards compatible. It is most games but its not all games. Like I think Scarface hasn't been made backwards compatible yet.

Can I download the microsoft update for that if i've flashed my drive? will it cause any problems?

EDIT : never mind, i know the answer now. but i've applied the august 2006 patch, and amped 2 wont work still, even though its listed as one of the games that works. any thoughts?

I'm going to buy a Xbox 360 soon.
From what I've read on xbox-scene and some other places it seems that the Hitachi-LG drive is the best one if you want to play backups.
Is there a general rule which 360's have a Hitachi drive and which have a Samsung (premium, core)?

NTSC Playback on PAL TV ... yes

i have loads of files from a ps2 disc. they are not isos or bin cue files. any progs to create iso so i can burn to disc ta

A xbox can be softmodded to, no hardwarefix to do, only a couple of software fixes needed....

The softmod is almost as good as a real chip

Edit: PS a very good buring tool for xbox/xbox360/ps2 so on so on is CloneCD

Could someone point me to correct direction about how to flash my x360. i feel im quite screwed
as i dont have slightest clue how it should be done and seems like the latest firmware is a must have

bah, should've sticked to original non cracked box and buy the damn games every once in a while,
as theres not so much decent games released :/

hi there, newbie here

ive been doing dvd copies and pc games for ages , but now the kids are older they want every damn ps2 game out there and to be honest, my wallet aint got much left in it!!

can anyone tell me what the deal is with ps2 copies ?
any special programs to use or is it just like burning a pc game?

also, i DONT want either of my ps2's (2 daughters and 1 boy mean i HAVE to have 2 lol) to be altered internally by anyone.....is there a "boot disc" prog out there akin to the old dreamcast one? (yes its that long since i tried anything other than dvd or pc) where you put the boot disc in then once it loaded up you swapped the disc for the game copy .....
