If it helps the site with bandwidth and speed I am happy it is gone..never used it..there are plenty of good image servers out there that it was never really necessary IMO

it was a useless feature as previously said there's many places you can get your picture hosted on for free.

BTW, even now that it's gone I haven't noticed any improvement on my side... But I hope it helps to TBytes servers anyway.

Whatever it takes to keep the site up, and as people have already commented, it is/was not (strictly speaking) a necessary service, especially when there are other (and bigger) providers up.
Why do the work (= pay server bandwidth + maintenance) someone else (e.g. imageshack) can do for you, right?

i think its good because it helps out the site, alls it takes is a few seconds changing your link in your profile and uploading the pic to imageshack or a similar site
