if its still doing it then it's probably because your username and password are incorrect.
if not, run a login test and let me know what happens.

I think tbnotify might have a leak of some sort... after around 2½ day of uptime, Process Explorer tells me that it tbnotify has ~5000 handles open

#443258 by twiglet (VIP) at 2005-11-05 06:11:16 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

thanks for pointing that out, it was problem with the registry reads. quickly fixed.
the next version wont have this problem (but dont worry, its barely a problem anyway)

#443263 by unknown[78096] at 2005-11-05 06:15:17 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Not too much of an issue, since the amount of actual memory leaked is small, and NT handles are "only limited by available memory" (and the fact that handles are 32bit values).

Sidetrack: handle leaks are BAD in the management stuff for the NForce4 firewall management stuff. Friend of mine did a bunch of ruby/mysql stuff, which resulted in about 20.000 open handles and an insanely high Commit Charge that wouldn't go down. Yay for nvidia programmers (unless it's a problem with Apache... but then again, nvidia people should be shot for using apache for configuration).

have you thought about using process detection to pause tbnotify?

#444268 by totalDonor (Power User) at 2005-11-06 09:32:37 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

never, but i havne't got any problem while playing other games (CoD 2, TRD 2 etc.)

...well then it's probably an issue with pro evo. tbnotify wasnt designed to alert you of torrents when you're ruuning a full screen 3d game. just use the process detection.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
A torrent has just been uploaded that has temporarily broken tbnotify.

UPDATE #2:
Everything should be working fine again now.

If you are still having problems, close tbnotify, run this and restart tbnotify.

if anyone has problems after doing that, let me know.

For some reason I don't get auto download on new Naruto and Bleach episodes. I only want the DB releases.

I've used the filters:

[DB] Naruto
[DB] Bleach

both in anime category. But for some reason it wont work. Anyone got a clue?

this is because TBNotify interprets square brackets as containing a range of characters (see the Wildcard section of the help guide)

if you want DB release then you should use:

DB AND Naruto
DB AND Bleach

Is there a program like TBNotiy that shows nforce releases?

#456585 by unknown[3652] at 2005-11-17 18:15:30 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

Uh... you can use a normal RSS feed reader for NFOrce...

All Feeds: http://www.nforce.nl/rss/rss_all.xml

Menu Page: (not a feed) http://www.nforce.nl/index.php?menu=opt … m=rssfeeds

Nice program, using it right now.
But I would like to filter away HR.HDTV if I'm waiting for Lost for example, I always stick to the HDTV.

there are plenty of posts about this (and it's in the help guide)

Quote:

Contains "HR HDTV" in TV/XviD  -> Ignore
Contains "lost" in TV/XviD -> Download
Contains  anything in "TV/XviD, Games, Apps" -> Notify

I have a question/suggestion: is it possible to make the TBNotify download only NEW torrents (I mean torrents that were uploaded AFTER I launch TBNotify).

The problem is I have several filters for shows that appear during the whole week, but only sometimes leave the TBNotify running over the night to download the newest episode. Most of them I download manually through my browser. So e.g. if I run TBNotify on Sunday night to get me new Simpsons, Monday I shut it (happily watching new episode downloaded through the night  ), then download new episodes of Joey, Malcolm In The Middle during the weekend manually through my browser and then run TBNotify again on Sunday, it starts to download the torrents for Joey and Malcolm. I have to stop the torrents and delete them from my bittorrent program which isn't much of a challenge, but it's annoying.

If this is not possible with the current version, would you please add something like tick box to say check torrents that are uploaded only after TBNotify is run? And thank you for a great proggy.

glad you like the program.
i'll include that feature in the next build, when i have some free time to finalize it.
