What up?

theres a misconfiguration somewhere. tbnotify is in no way dependant on word.

if you really want to use it, i suggest you do a fresh full install of office, followed by tbnotify.

Ok, so I've been using this for about a month and all I have to say is: You are the Man. The Man. The Man. The Man.

I wish I had something similar for the other torrentsites I'm on...

Oh, this piece of program works awsome! Have a schedule that turns this program on at 02:00 and quits it 08:00. And when I wake up - all my favorite tv-shows are downloaded and ready to watch! Big thanks for this!

no, if it were to show you seed leech numbers, then it would have to regually update them. a fair waste of bandwidth when you're updating 700+ torrents.
the aim of tbnotify is to keep traffic low, which at the moment averages to 4 kilo bytes of http traffic (inc headers) per hour.

btw, thanks for the positive feedback guys.

expect 1.1 fairly soon (couple weeks max)

First of all thanks for an awesome bit of software, that makes keeping a decent ratio a hell of a lot easier.
Seriously contemplating moving my P2P / file server box over to one of the Linux distro's (most likely Fedora), mainly as a learning experience, but also to allow me to run a few game servers on it and the like.
Anybody know of anything similiar to TBNotify for Linux?

#527296 by unknown[13058] at 2006-01-30 06:57:28 (7 years ago) - [Report]Top

There is nothing like it for Linux. But TB does have a RSS feed. There must be something for Linux that can download files via a RSS feed. Then all you would have to do is find a way to start your client when a torrent file is downloaded.

Sounds like a nice program. Tried to install it but it gives this error message:

This image has been resized, click here to view the full-sized image.

Anyone knows what's the problem with it?

I had Bitcomet for a long time and TBnotify would auto download the torrents in my filter..

But then i Uninstalled Bitcomet and installed Utorrent instead.. And now i get an error saying

Run time error '429':

ActiveX component can't create object.

How do i fix it? I tried installing it again but i got the same error.
How do i set the default torrent program for it to open with?

its because you have deleted the folder it's trying to save torrents in.
change the download path to something that exists.

this error will be more informative in future versions
