If I went in for a Corvette..I would go for a 1988 Calloway Sledgehammer Corvette.
Twin turbo charged V8../ 898.0 bhp / 254.8 mph / 409.9 kph
It's not allways the amount of horsepowers that desides which car you want! And I think the LS7 will go from A -> B pretty fast too 505hp and aluminim chassi. Then there's the handling too
that and the Callaway Sledghammer costs about $300,000 more!
i think you can run a Koenigsegg for many years! its MADE in sweden!
Then how come it broke down at the last(?) Gumball several times? =P

I got the the car I always wanted, a lotus elise, cheap and only an 1800cc and only 700kgs. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and about 35 miles to the gallon. I bought it new and had a new head, ecu and induction after the warranty had run out. it will out handle many cars 3 times the price and last longer on track days than many of the hairdresser cars wannabes(bmw, honda and the likes) you know who you are. another good thing is I live in a country that doesn't have speed limits(except built up areas) and has a lot of twisty country lanes....in fact it was called top gear fantasy island by jeremy clarkson....and he is soooo right
but if money was no option then it would have to be an aston martin db9 :dribble: :slurp:

LOL This...
I'd take a Maybach Benz 62 with Maybach Guard (what can beat a car that can take a shot from a .44 caliber at point-blank range?) or a Ferrari Enzo. Ford's Shelby GR-1 is nice too... so many to choose from.

Yes but remember..looks are not everything..and if you want handling and looks I suggest you get a Ferrari instead of a corvette..corvette is about power and speed
Body work and paint can be customized..but squeezing another +300hp out of that LS7 engine aint gonna happen

I really don't see what the big deal is about expensive cars... If it has air conditioning, good gas milegage, and a decent sound system, what more do you need?
If you drive one, you will notice the difference. Status and ego play a part too.....
and you will get lots of babes as well

Aston Martin - They have a class no other car could achieve, people who drive them don't do it to show off, they drive them for the comfort and the quality of the car. Best cars in the world.
#262193 by unknown[91580] at 2005-06-23 16:24:47 (8 years ago) - [Report]
You wait two years for this car only to have it break down 8 or so times in the first week. It wouldn't even start again for Jeremy Clarkson on the first day he had it. Sound like rubbish to me, looks nice though.
I'd go for the '68 Mustang Fastback with obliged Cammer Engine and Hoodscoop. That or a Aston Martin DB9, I'm too classy for my car.

i'd so get one of those new prototype electric sportscars, +300km topspeed, under 3.8sec 0-100km
runs on $250k worth of lithium battery packs, plugs into a regular heavyduty wall jack
Why bother when you can buy cars that go from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and cost much less?
i thought the whole idea was if cost was not an issue?
so you need a faster than 3sec 0-60 for what exactly? if i wanted blistering record-breaking speed, i'd pick a rocket-car
i'd rather be a fraction slower, and never visit a gas station again thx.
